Yoshitaka Amano’s newest company, Yoshitaka Amano Inc., announced on Thursday that the previously announced Zan anime project is in production and revealed the main staff. The pilot will be shown at the Anime Expo 2026 convention on July 3.

The anime is based on Amano’s illustrations from the DEVA ZAN art book, which was published in 2010. The art book was licensed by Dark Horse in North America and was released in 2013.
