Ushiro no Shoumen Kamui-san is a horror comedy based on the manga by Erokino (original story) and Konoshiro Shinko (art), serialized on Shogakukan’s MangaONE website. The story follows Shizuka, a self-proclaimed ordinary high school girl who can “only” see ghosts. Using her unique constitution that attracts spirits, she works as an assistant to the famous psychic Kamui. Despite his overwhelming spiritual power, Kamui’s exorcism methods are unprecedented. Will Shizuka ever find peace amidst the supernatural chaos? The curtain rises on “super” exorcism.
Produced by the “Deregula” label of Wave—known for handling the stimulating “souryo-waku” short anime—the series is directed by Tsukumo Takumi, with animation production by Zero-G and ZG-R. The cast is shared between the on-air version and the complete Deregula version (uncensored): Kamui is voiced by Sugita Tomokazu, Mimizuka Shizuka by Aono Rishin, Oichi by M・A・O, Kyouko by Aisaka Yuuka, and Inagawa by Izawa Shiori.
