The first-ever special event for the TV anime series The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) has been announced: “TV Anime ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ Special Event ~Summer Garden Party 2026~” will take place on August 15, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama National Hall in Kanagawa. Now, it has been revealed that the night performance will be available via paid streaming, and ticket sales have begun. Additionally, silhouette images hinting at the program for a newly written reading drama to be performed at the event have arrived.
About the Series
The Apothecary Diaries is a massively popular palace mystery entertainment set in the imperial harem, following the “poison taster” girl Maomao as she solves various difficult cases. The series has surpassed 45 million copies in cumulative circulation. The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2023 to March 2024, and the second season from January to July 2025, consistently ranking high on various streaming platforms and generating huge buzz. With the third season set to begin in October 2026, and the long-awaited theatrical film The Apothecary Diaries: The Secret Treasure of the Deceased Empress scheduled for release on December 11, 2026, the franchise continues to build momentum.
Streaming for the Night Show
For this first-ever event, the night performance of “Summer Garden Party 2026” will be streamed online for a fee. Tickets went on sale from July 7 at 12:00 JST.
