Limited Edition Akuma Shogun Edo Kiriko Glass Announced
From the Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc anime series comes a special order glass that captures the leader of the Demon Superhuman world, Akuma Shogun, using the traditional Japanese craft of Edo Kiriko. Orders open on July 9, 2026 at 18:00 JST.
Kinnikuman is a fighting manga created by Yudetamago (story by Shimada Takashi, art by Nakai Yoshinori) that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1979. It follows the clumsy, bumbling superhuman from Kinniku Star who grows into the strongest fighter through effort, friendship, and victory. The series later moved to Weekly Playboy and Weekly Play News, and has surpassed 77 million copies in cumulative circulation. The original anime aired in 1983 and became a massive hit, with the popular “Kinkeshi” rubber erasers selling over 180 million units.
The new anime series Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc aired Season 1 from July to September 2024 and Season 2 from January to March 2025. It adapts the popular “Perfect Origin Arc” from the original manga, continuing from the previously animated “Kinniku Star Throne Succession Arc.” A Season 3 has also been confirmed, depicting the aftermath of the battle at the Tottori Sand Dunes special ring between the justice/demon alliance (Kinnikuman, Buffaloman, etc.) and the Perfect/Large Number Army (Nemesis, etc.).
The “Akuma Shogun Edo Kiriko” glass is a deep crimson color. On the front, the imposing mask is clearly engraved using sandblasting. Curved cutting around the mask represents the iconic shoulder armor, and the geometric traditional pattern “Asanoha” (hemp leaf) is applied to recreate the brilliance of the “Hardness 10 Diamond Power” that boasts absolute offense and defense.
From the side to the back, the sharp intersections of the net-like traditional pattern “Yarai” (palisade) are likened to the merciless sword flashes of the special move “Hell’s Merry-Go-Round,” where the user charges with swords in both arms. The overwhelming offensive power of the general is embodied throughout the glass by the hands of skilled Japanese artisans. On the bottom of the glass, the chest emblem of Akuma Shogun is clearly engraved using sandblasting.
Enjoy a supreme moment while viewing the emblem that appears through the drink. This piece, meticulously finished by artisans of Mitsuwa Glass Craft Co., Ltd., a member of the Edo Kiriko Cooperative Association, will be delivered in a special high-quality paulownia wood box.
The “Akuma Shogun Edo Kiriko” is a limited edition of 200 pieces. Orders will be accepted from July 9, 2026 (Thursday) at 18:00 to August 23, 2026 (Sunday) at 23:59 via the online shop “Yuruwa*”. Shipping is scheduled for mid-March to late March 2027.
