Summer Anime ‘Yoroi Shinden Samurai Trooper’ Episode 14 Preview: Ryuusei’s Cold Gaze and the Truth Behind It

From the summer anime Yoroi Shinden Samurai Trooper, the synopsis and advance scene cuts for the second cour’s 14th episode, titled “Kiseki” (Miracle), have been released. The episode is set to air on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Yoroi Shinden Samurai Trooper is a completely original story set in present-day Shinjuku, serving as the official sequel to the classic Yoroi Den Samurai Trooper. Directed by Yoichi Fujita (Gintama, Mr. Osomatsu), the anime is produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks’ animation studio SUNRISE Studios. The five main Samurai Troopers are voiced by a star-studded cast: Yuki Ishibashi as Gai, Junya Enoki as Uesugi Kaijin, Ayumu Murase as Hojo Musashi, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Hojo Yamato, and Kentaro Kumagai as Ishida Shion.

After a 40-year gap, the first cour premiered on January 6, 2026. The first episode caused related keywords like “Samurai Trooper” and “Nasty” to trend on X (formerly Twitter). The first cour concluded on March 24 with its 12th episode, thrilling fans with the appearance of the original Samurai Troopers. The second cour begins three months after the defeat of the Yojya Emperor Ragenka, who had invaded Tokyo. As the city rebuilds and peace returns, a new threat emerges: the Tendokai (Heavenly Guidance Realm). Yashima no Sagume and her four beast warriors begin their plan to “remake the world,” sparking a new battle for the Samurai Troopers.

Episode 14 “Kiseki” Synopsis

Inmei of the Tendokai appears, aiming to destroy both the human world and the Yojya realm. At his side stands Ryuusei, now clad in Tendokai attire.

Ragenka, having revived by seizing Gai’s body, turns his spear toward Inmei and Ryuusei, plunging the battle into chaos.

What is the true meaning behind Ryuusei’s cold gaze directed at Kaijin and the others? Faced with this harsh reality, what choices will they make?

The second cour’s 14th episode of Yoroi Shinden Samurai Trooper will air on TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS11 starting Tuesday, July 14.
