Dragon Quest and Gelato Pique Reunite for Second Collaboration: Fluffy Slime and Watahou Roomwear Arrives August 7

The beloved Dragon Quest series is teaming up with Gelato Pique once again for a second collaboration. Titled “GELATO PIQUE encounters DRAGON QUEST,” the new collection features adorable roomwear, pouches, and accessories adorned with original artwork of iconic monsters. The line launches on August 7, 2026, at Gelato Pique stores nationwide and online.

Since its debut in 1986 on the Famicom, the Dragon Quest series has become a cornerstone of Japanese role-playing games. From the original title through Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time (2017), the series has maintained a classic RPG feel while embracing new technologies like 3D maps, wireless communication, online play, and cloud gaming. Beyond the main numbered entries, the franchise has expanded to over 100 titles, including the Dragon Quest Monsters series and the action RPG Dragon Quest Heroes, achieving cumulative worldwide shipments and downloads of over 97 million units.

This is the second time Gelato Pique has collaborated with Dragon Quest. The collection features monsters rendered in exclusive original artwork that can only be found at Gelato Pique.

Knit Series

The knit series includes sets depicting monsters hugging pillows, yawning, or relaxing inside Gelato Pique’s signature ice cream cups. Hoodies transform into Slime or Watahou when the hood is pulled up, and a cardigan with fluffy cloud-inspired buttons is available in unisex sizing.

Kids can enjoy a cardigan with a Slime peeking out of the pocket, and babies can wear a soft poncho, making the collection fun for the whole family.

Cut-and-Sew Series

The cut-and-sew series includes T-shirts featuring monsters carrying the large Gelato Pique logo, as well as designs showing monsters holding sleep accessories in a sky filled with fluffy clouds.

The artwork includes original illustrations of Slime, Dragon Kids, Moomon, Baby Satan, and Watahou.

Accessories

A range of accessories is also available, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.

Items include a cloud-like tote bag with plush padding, a puffy pouch featuring monsters holding sleep accessories, and a playful tumbler with an ice-cream-cup-shaped Slime straw cap, allowing fans to stay close to their favorite monsters anytime.

Store-Exclusive Items

Certain items are available only at specific retailers. These include roomwear and goods featuring Killer Panther, Killer Machine, Brownie, Dancing Jewel, and the Adventure Book. Gelato Pique Sleep bedding and cushions, as well as CAT & DOG wear and toys, are also part of the exclusive lineup.

The exclusive sets come in limited colors: a beige set with a Killer Panther holding a striped blanket, and a navy set with a Killer Machine in roomwear. Accessories include a pouch with Brownie holding an ice cream spoon and an Adventure Book design, plus a gadget pouch with an all-over pattern of Killer Panther, Killer Machine, Brownie, and Dancing Jewel.

Sleep Collection

Gelato Pique Sleep offers bedding items for a cozy night with Dragon Quest monsters. The line includes soft pillowcases and multi-covers, a round Watahou nap cushion, and a neck cushion featuring a sleeping Baby Panther.

The collection will be available from August 7, 2026, at Gelato Pique stores nationwide, the official Gelato Pique online store, the Gelato Pique Homme online store, the MASH group official app “MASH STORE,” and the EC department store “USAGI ONLINE.” A special webpage for the collection is now live, where prices and further details can be found.
