From the TV anime Tokyo Revengers, characters like Hanagaki Takemichi are making an appearance in the online lottery service “Marukuji” with a stylish monotone look. A range of appealing prizes are available, from Chou Daikichi (Super Great Luck) down to Suekichi (Minor Luck).
The time-leaping suspense manga Toukyou Manji Ribenjaazu, written by Wakui Ken, was serialized in “Shuukan Shounen Magazine” from 2017 to 2022 and gained immense popularity. It tells the story of Hanagaki Takemichi, a former delinquent whose life peaked in middle school. Following the death of his only girlfriend from middle school, he time leaps 12 years into the past, challenging fate to get revenge on his life.
In 2021, it was adapted into a TV anime titled Tokyo Revengers. The second season, “Seiya Kessen-hen”, and the third season, “Tenjiku-hen”, aired in 2023. Production for a sequel, “Santen Sensou-hen”, has also been announced. A official spin-off series, Toukyou Manji Ribenjaazu ~Baji Keisuke kara no Tegami~, drawn by Natsukawaguchi Yukinori, was serialized on the “Magapoke” official Shuukan Shounen Magazine app and concluded on April 14, 2025.
