The popular voice actor Taniyama Kishou’s 50th anniversary photobook, titled 『谷山紀章50歳記念写真集 KRONICLE』, will be released on August 8, 2025. As new cuts have been unveiled, they showcase alluring sexy partially undressed shots juxtaposed with his appearance in a contrastive rabbit kigurumi.

Taniyama Kishou was born on August 11, 1975, in Yamaguchi Prefecture. He made his voice actor debut in 1995. Some of his major roles include Shinomiya Natsuki in the 『Uta no Prince-sama♪』 series, Jean Kirstein in the 『Shingeki no Kyojin』 series, and Nakahara Chuuya in the 『Bungou Stray Dogs』 series.

In 2005, under the name KISHOW, he formed the music unit GRANRODEO with Iizuka Masaaki (e-ZUKA). They will be holding a live concert to commemorate their 20th anniversary, “GRANRODEO 20th Anniversary LIVE 2025 G20 ROCK☆SHOW LOVE＆FIRE ～Ai to Jouen no GRANRODEO～” at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa on November 8th and 9th, 2025.

『谷山紀章50歳記念写真集 KRONICLE』 is Taniyama-san’s latest photobook, released to commemorate reaching the milestone of 50 years old this year. In 2023, Taniyama-san released his first photobook, 『KROSS OVER』, shot by world-renowned photographer Leslie Kee. That work, a collaboration between top artists, became a hot topic for being like a work of art.

This new photobook takes a completely different turn, capturing various aspects of Taniyama-san that fans have been eager to see.

The concept for the photoshoot revolves around “Past, Present, and Future,” representing Taniyama’s 50-year journey. The photobook shows Taniyama, a former member of his school’s track and field club, dynamically moving on the track field after a long time. It also portrays him diligently engaged in writing activities at a Shouwa-retro style ryokan, much like a literary master.

Furthermore, it features him playfully enjoying a game center, reminiscing about his younger days in the Heisei era after moving to Tokyo. Taniyama’s signature sexy shots, his oiegei if you will, were specially taken at a luxury hotel. For the “Future” part, the photobook presents sweet, fan-coveted situations that evoke the feeling of living together with a lover who will share the future, such as just waking up or enjoying homemade cooking.

As special features, Taniyama-san took on the challenge of an Oiran experience, showcasing beauty that would make even women envious. The book also includes faithfully recreated gothic style shots, as if he jumped out of the world of manga, and fairytale-like cuts featuring him in a rabbit kigurumi, based on the year’s zodiac animal. It’s no exaggeration to say that this single volume contains everything about Taniyama-san, who has pursued photographic expression even more aggressively than younger artists at the age of 50.
