Summer anime Thunder 3 aired Episode #04 “MR. SEGAMI” on July 29, 2026, and the multiverse world has taken a wild turn. This week, the spotlight shifts from the main trio to a new character whose motivation is driven by one thing: F-cup.

The series, based on the manga by Ikeda Yuuki serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine from 2022, concluded in June 2026 just before the anime premiere. It was nominated for the “Next Manga Award 2022” for its gripping story. The main characters—Tezuka Pyontarou, his classmates Azuma Tsubame, and Ochanomizu Hiroshi—are known as the “Small 3.” But in this episode, they barely appear.

Episode #04: MR. SEGAMI
On a crisp morning, a man named Segami Teiichi is doing push-ups, training himself. He feels resigned to the fact that Earth has been invaded by aliens. The TV reports that the world has been unified under an alien “Great Emperor,” flying objects fill the sky, and giant robots roam the streets. Segami thinks to himself: “Humanity has been invaded. We’re being trampled.”

When Segami goes to university, a beautiful woman in a crop top hands him a flyer. “Do you feel frustrated with the world today? Let’s lick each other’s wounds and live strongly tomorrow!” The flyer advertises a self-improvement seminar. But one line catches his eye: “Lots of cute girls! From F-cup.”
“From F-cup.” Those alluring words shake Segami’s heart. Viewers reacted: “From F-cup!” “His eyes changed!” “Don’t bite on F-cup!” “What about D?” “That recruitment line is way too suspicious.” Everyone got excited about the F-cup.

I Want a Girlfriend Before I Die!
In the city, an alien giant robot stomps around, crushing cars and killing people. When a civilian protests, the aliens attack without mercy, erasing them without a trace. Witnessing this, Segami thinks: “This country is finished!” Fearing death at any moment, he remembers the F-cup flyer from the beautiful woman.
Online, viewers were shocked: “Is this the first time we’ve seen someone clearly killed by aliens?” Others said: “He has no choice but to seek healing from F-cup!!!” “Help me, F-cup!” “In this world, the only thing Segami-kun can trust is F-cup girls.” Expectations for F-cup ran high.

“I want a girlfriend before I die!” Segami scans the QR code on the flyer, makes a big decision, tidies up, and heads out. Viewers cheered: “He wants a girlfriend lol” “So straightforward, lol” “Why does that lead to this action?” “His survival instinct kicked in when faced with death.”
As he walks, he passes three people talking: “Where’s Futaba-chan?” “We gotta hurry.” Segami recognizes them from a video—the manga characters who defeated aliens. “Wait, manga? They’re real?” He’s shocked but shrugs it off. He’s got a girlfriend to find.
“The main characters were treated like background extras lol” “Their appearance was way too short.” This time, the Small 3 appeared only as passersby.
Exchanging Contacts with a Beautiful Woman?!
Segami doesn’t care if it’s a cult or a self-help seminar—he just wants to interact with girls. In a world of despair, his desire for a girlfriend drives him forward. He thinks: “I don’t need a perfect face, just someone kind.” When he arrives at the building, a stunning woman is waiting for the elevator. He thinks she’s too beautiful. She asks, “Did you see the flyer?” and says she’s nervous because no one else is there. Then she asks, “Can we exchange LINE?” Segami clenches his fist in excitement.
They go up together, and three women greet him. “Wow, a macho!” “You’re tall—how many centimeters?” They’re all interested. When he says 179 cm, they immediately ask to exchange contacts. Segami thinks: “This is sudden… but I’m glad I came!”
Could It Be a Scam Job?!
But when he’s led into a room, he sees shady-looking people: thin eyebrows, sharp eyes, smoked glasses. “I’ve been had,” he thinks. “What do I do, Mom?” Viewers worried: “That’s definitely bad lol” “Way too suspicious” “It’s a honey trap… a scam job…” “Clearly not ordinary folks…” “Only cute girls and scary guys!”
He sees people with tattoos. Fearing he’ll be robbed, he starts to cry. Then hope arrives: the beautiful woman who gave him the flyer enters. “Were you scared?” she asks gently. “We’re not yakuza. Those people are our comrades.” She gives him an onigiri. So kind.
Online: “It’s like the Black Knights or something” “Scary, those ‘comrades’ look like gangsters” “Seeing a familiar face makes him cry with relief lol”

Welcome to the Rebellion
This is the “Rebellion”—a human resistance group fighting against the aliens. It’s made up of people whose families were killed by aliens, and since the owner is a yakuza, there are some shady types. Also present is a man eating yogurt, known as “Genius” Sumeragi Kyouji.

The woman who gave him the onigiri is Kisaragi Mio. The Rebellion will fight until the aliens are eradicated. She leads him into a room filled with real guns and machine guns. Viewers: “From F-cup to despair… either way, despair” “Well, yakuza would have weapons” “It ended at a good point.” For Segami, it was a whirlwind episode starting with F-cup and ending with weapons.

After the broadcast, Maekawa Ryouko, who voices Kisaragi Mio, posted on social media: “Drawn in by a tempting flyer, he finds cute girls and scary men. Mio-san, are you sure he can relax!?”
Wataya Miho, who plays the stunning woman at the elevator, Makino Reika, wrote: “Segami-san’s inner thoughts changed so much—it was fun to watch. What is the Rebellion? Next episode looks packed!”
Aoi Azusa, who voices Pyontarou’s dog Puusuke and also plays one of the three women at the Rebellion (Aikawa Natsu), noted: “When you think about it, Segami-kun never actually says what he’s thinking out loud—that’s kind of funny.” Indeed, his inner thoughts were completely exposed to the audience!
Viewer reactions included: “The Small 3 barely appeared—it felt like watching a different anime lol” “I learned that aliens can’t be good neighbors—scary” “The story is getting intense” “I have no idea what will happen next” “Seeing humans clearly killed by aliens for the first time really showed how dangerous this world is.”
It will be interesting to see how Segami and the Small 3 cross paths in the future!
That wraps up Episode #04 “MR. SEGAMI.” And yes, if you scan the QR code shown in the episode with your phone, you too can start from F-cup… Give it a try☆
