To celebrate the upcoming theatrical release of the completely new OVA Mahou no Princess Minky Momo: Akogare no Yume e Magokoro no Duo, the first two TV anime seasons of the classic magical girl series will be streamed free of charge on the KAC official YouTube channel “KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE.” The free streaming begins on August 10, 2026 at 20:00, with episodes released in batches for a limited time.
Since its original broadcast in 1982, Mahou no Princess Minky Momo has captivated anime fans with its innovative scripts and high-quality animation, breaking the mold of magical girl anime and establishing itself as a fantasy that adults can enjoy as well. The series helped drive the magical girl boom of the era, and a new series, Mahou no Princess Minky Momo: Yume wo Dakishimete, aired in 1991. Over the years, numerous OVAs have kept the franchise alive across generations.
Now, ahead of the first completely new OVA in 32 years, the original TV anime (Season 1) and its sequel (Season 2) will be sequentially streamed for free for a limited time. Season 1 consists of 63 episodes, following Princess Minky Momo of the dream kingdom Fenarinarsa, who once existed on Earth. Together with Shindbook, Mocha, and Pipiru, she uses the magic of adulthood to restore dreams and hope to people.
In Season 2, Yume wo Dakishimete, the second-generation Minky Momo, princess of the underwater dream kingdom Marinarsa, sets out on a grand adventure to the surface with her three companions: the monkey Chamo, the dog Cookbook, and the bird Lupipi. The season spans 65 episodes.
