The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Nakamaru Yousuke and Azuma Kyoutarou‘s manga Tenkaichi: Nihon Saikyou Bugeisha Ketteisen has revealed the main cast, staff, a teaser visual, and a teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2027.

The manga began serialization in Young Magazine the 3rd in January 2021, then moved to Monthly Young Magazine three months later. Kodansha published the 13th volume on February 19, with the 14th volume scheduled for release on August 20. The manga is simulpublished in English on the K Manga app and website, and is also published in Italian by Star Comics.
Tenkaichi was nominated for the 8th Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho (Next Manga Award) in the Print category in 2022.
