The TV anime Oshi no Ko has officially announced the production of its fourth and final season, Season 4 Final Season. On August 16, 2026, at the special event “Ichigo Production ☆ Fan Thanksgiving 2026” held at SGC HALL ARIAKE in Tokyo, the teaser visual and a visual movie for the new season were unveiled to eager fans.
Based on the manga by Akasaka Aka (story) and Yokoyari Mengo (art), Oshi no Ko is serialized in Weekly Young Jump and has surpassed 25 million copies in cumulative worldwide sales. The story follows Gorou, a rural obstetrician who reincarnates as the child of his favorite idol, Ai. It weaves a tale of mystery surrounding Ai’s sudden death, Aqua’s quest for revenge, and the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry.
The anime is directed by Hiramaki Daisuke, with animation production by Doga Kobo. The main cast includes Ootsuka Takeo as Aqua, Ikoma Yurie as Ruby, Han Megumi as Arima Kana, Iwami Manaka as Kurokawa Akane, Ookubo Rumi as MEM Cho, and Takahashi Rie as Ai.
Season 1 aired in April 2023, followed by Season 2 in July 2024, and Season 3 from January to March 2026. The announcement of Season 4 Final Season came right after the Season 3 finale broadcast.
The newly released teaser visual carries the phrase “Guided by the stars, to the final stage” (星に導かれ、最後の舞台へ) and depicts the main characters, dressed in outfits from the original manga covers, stepping toward the final stage. The accompanying visual movie, using the same teaser art, shows Aqua and Ruby carrying their fates through the world of entertainment, each moving toward their own answers, building anticipation for the story that the Final Season will tell.
