The Medalist Special Exhibition 2026 event on Sunday revealed additional staff, a second teaser visual, and a special trailer for the Medalist anime sequel film. The movie is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on February 19, 2027.

Author Tsurumaikada began serializing the drama sports manga in Afternoon magazine in May 2020. Kodansha published the 15th volume on July 22. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in March 2021 and digitally released the 14th volume on May 12.
