Summer anime Mushoku Tensei III: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu aired episode 11, “Turning Point 4,” on September 6, 2026 at 24:00. Cliff’s Magic Eye

After the battle with the immortal demon king Atofe, Rudeus is haunted by nightmares of being crushed by the giant Atofe. Sylphiette gently reassures him, saying, “It’s okay.”

Meanwhile, Cliff, a classmate at Ranoa Magic Academy, is exhausted from struggling with the magic eye he received from the Demon Emperor Kishirika. The eye, called the “Identification Eye,” floods his vision with information about everything he sees, making the world look like a sea of text. Viewers were impressed by the visual representation, commenting, “So that’s how Cliff’s Identification Eye works!” and “I see, it looks like that.”

Nanahoshi’s Polite Speech

When Rudeus visits Nanahoshi, who is suffering from the “Drain Disease,” she seems strangely formal. She thanks him for retrieving medicine and apologizes for having spoken to him so casually before. Fans were puzzled: “Why is Nanahoshi being so polite?” and “She’s acting distant…”

Nanahoshi then asks how old he originally was, but Rudeus deflects, saying, “Let’s not talk about age. You don’t need to use polite language with me.” The disease cannot be fully cured; the “Soukas grass” only temporarily expels magic from the body, and it will accumulate again. Rudeus tells her, “You have to go back. You won’t die in a world like this,” and Nanahoshi is moved to tears.

Tea Party with Perugius

Zanoba, Ariel, and Perugius enjoy a lively tea party, with Zanoba recounting the battle against Atofe in detail. When Rudeus joins, Zanoba presents a doll he plans to sell, asking Perugius for his honest opinion. Perugius, who despises demons, is initially dismissive, but Zanoba insists that Perugius owes a debt to the model of the doll: Rujierudo Superdia, the Superd warrior who once fought alongside Rudeus and aided Perugius in the final battle against Laplace. After some deliberation, Perugius agrees to repay that debt, marking a step forward in restoring the Superd tribe’s honor.

Zanoba the Smooth Talker, Ariel Put to the Test

Zanoba’s proposal leads Rudeus to demonstrate his doll-making process to Perugius. Fans praised Zanoba’s social skills, calling him “incredibly capable” and “a shrewd salesman.” Rudeus uses earth magic to craft a doll of Perugius’s familiar, Silvaril, which impresses Perugius. When Rudeus offers to make anything on request, Perugius happily agrees to buy whatever he creates.

Ariel, however, struggles to connect with Perugius. When she interjects, he asks her, “What is a king to you? What does a true king represent?” Her answer is dismissed with “No,” and Rudeus’s response earns him praise, leaving fans sympathetic to Ariel.

Rudeus Starts a Diary

After returning home and greeting Roxy, Rudeus reflects on recent events while bathing. Worried that he might forget important lessons, he decides to keep a diary. He magically creates a binder for it, writing in Japanese. Fans were surprised: “He even makes the binder himself!” and “It’s in Japanese!?” Original readers reacted strongly, while some noted the oddity of Japanese text in the world.

Reunion with That Guy

When Rudeus wakes up, Hitogami is there. “You’ve been doing well lately,” he says, mentioning Rudeus’s connections with Perugius and Atofe. Rudeus mentions that Roxy’s water-class magic saved him, and Hitogami explains the concept of “touki” (fighting spirit) — a technique that uses magic within the body to enhance physical abilities. This explanation, which in the original novel was given by the immortal demon Bardigardi, surprised fans. The original author, Rifujin na Magonote, tweeted that the explanation was skipped in season 2 and inserted here, noting the difficulty of adding previously omitted content.

Hitogami also reveals what would have happened if Rudeus had not gone to his father Paul’s location in Begaritt Continent — a different timeline. Rudeus, however, chooses to look forward, thinking that his choices, even if mistaken, brought him happiness.

His Request

This time, Hitogami asks a favor rather than giving advice: “Go to the basement and check for anything unusual.” Rudeus, though puzzled, agrees. After Hitogami disappears, Rudeus wakes up, closes his diary, and heads to the basement with a candle. He senses a presence behind him but sees no one. As he reaches for the door, he turns around — and there stands an old man.

“Don’t go to the basement. You’ve been deceived by Hitogami,” the man says. Rudeus asks, “Wait, who are you?” The man then speaks a name that should not exist in this world — a name only Rudeus knows.

Fans were stunned: “It ends here?!” “I can’t believe the cliffhanger!” “This is terrifying!” “Mushoku Tensei really starts now!” “Next episode is going to be hell!” Both anime-only and original readers were shocked by the ending.
