Pompompurin just took the top spot in the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking with a record 7,0647,379 votes, and to celebrate his 30th anniversary, a special mook is heading to stores. Pompompurin 30th Anniversary Nonbiri Pompom BOOK will be released on September 9, 2026, and it comes with an irresistible accessory: a squishy cushion shaped like Pompompurin’s round silhouette, complete with his signature butt mark.
The highlight of the mook is the “fuwamochi oshiri cushion,” a plush cushion that features Pompompurin’s iconic rear print on one side. The tail and feet are designed in three dimensions, making it feel as though the character has popped right into your home. On the reverse side, a cute illustration shows Team Pompompurin—Muffin, Scone, and Bagel—huddled together, making it impossible not to want to hug it.
The cushion’s key feature is a hole on the side that lets you slip your arm through.
