Universal Studios Japan’s 25th anniversary autumn event, “Universal Extreme Autumn ~Discover U!!!~,” is now running at the park from September 10 to November 8. This year’s Halloween celebration brings “kowa-kawaii” (scary-cute) food, merchandise, and carnival games featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody & Kuromi, Snoopy, and Hamikuma, while Super Nintendo World kicks off its fifth-anniversary festivities with the debut of pink and light blue Yoshi in a new meet-and-greet.
Halloween Treats and Goods with a Street Zombie Theme
At Studio Stars Restaurant and Cinema 4-D Store, the event introduces a “Street Zombie” collection that gives each character a delightfully spooky makeover. Hello Kitty wears a heart-shaped eyepatch, My Melody and Kuromi appear with cute bunny ears, scratches, and bandages, and Snoopy is transformed into a cursed doll with patched fabric and a vacant expression.
The Cinema 4-D Store, styled like a mysterious Western mansion, is offering darkly cute plush toys and accessories perfect for Halloween. In Festival in the Park, a brand-new carnival game themed after Hamikuma—the beloved but eerie character from Halloween Horror Nights—has also made its debut.
Super Nintendo World 5th Anniversary Adds Pink and Light Blue Yoshi
To mark Super Nintendo World’s fifth anniversary, the park has introduced a limited-time greeting experience this autumn. In the celebratory area, pink and light blue Yoshi are making their first-ever appearance alongside the standard green Yoshi.
The “Meet & Greet” in Super Nintendo World runs from September 10 to January 11, 2027, with times varying by day. Each session features one of the Yoshi characters.
