The first day of “ABEMA Anime Fest 2026 supported by Comic Seamo” was held on September 19, 2026, at ABEMA Shibuya / MIYASHITA PARK and surrounding venues across Shibuya. The two-day anime event opened with a lively free-stage lineup, drawing crowds with appearances by popular anime casts and original ABEMA programming.

Free stage timetable
On the first day, the special stage on the rooftop of MIYASHITA PARK (4F) hosted free stages for Akane-banashi, Tougen Anki, Seihantai na Kimi to Boku, and ABEMA’s popular original seiyuu program Seiyuu to Yoru Asobi 2026. Elsewhere in Shibuya, GOALOUS5 held a special talk stage, public recordings of Kobayashi Chiaki no PARTY x PARTY and Suzumura Kenichi no Raji Base took place, and the first fan event for Project PRISMation drew a crowd.
Tetsunabe no Jan!
The Tetsunabe no Jan! stage opened the day’s free program with Toyonaga Kikunosuke (Akiyama Hishio) and Amada Masuo (Otani Nichidou) on stage. As the series approaches its finale, the two looked back on the story so far and discussed their impressions of the characters and what makes the show special.
The stage also highlighted the Chinese dishes featured in the series. They reflected on standout dishes like “steamed egg custard with sheep brain” made by the protagonist Jan (Hishio) and various chicken dishes, which were carefully selected by the anime staff. Actual reproductions of those dishes appeared on stage, and the two seiyuu sampled them live. The talk also touched on topics like “which dish from the series would you most want to eat?”, “what is the true relationship between Jan and Otani?”, and “who is the real heroine of Tetsunabe no Jan!?”—going deep into the series as it heads into its final episode.
Shin-Ei Animation
Shin-Ei Animation, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, presented a special stage featuring Mozu, director and miniature creator of Pop Pop Poruters, and Utsu-sensei from the short anime Chotto Yaba City. They discussed the upcoming Pop Pop Poruters, which begins airing October 4, and Chotto Yaba City, which starts streaming October 1, covering the charm of each work and the creative details behind them. Mozu revealed that Pop Pop Poruters uses real miniature sets rather than CG—a behind-the-scenes secret that drew interest.
The pair also took on a “50 Seconds Challenge” to mark Shin-Ei Animation’s 50th anniversary. In addition, a PV for Shirotan was screened, and new information on Atashin’chi and Shin Oishinbo was revealed for the first time, making the stage a packed announcement hub for Shin-Ei Animation’s upcoming works.
Akane-banashi
The Akane-banashi stage featured Nagase Anna (Sakurazuka Akane), Eguchi Takuya (Renma-ya Karashi), and Takahashi Rie (Takaragami Hikaru). Ahead of the second season starting in January 2027, they looked back at the first season. In the “My Favorite Scene” segment, each chose an iconic moment: Nagase picked the Tenth Seat “Juugemu” which was recorded with extra care; Eguchi chose the First Seat scene of Shinta’s shin’uchi promotion test that begins the story; Takahashi selected the Twelfth Seat scene where Akane is formally taken on as a disciple, which includes anime-original material. They explained why those moments stood out and shared studio memories.
They also spoke about the second season, touching on recording progress and new characters. A game called “No Overlapping Punchlines!?”—based on rakugo rules—had the trio compete to answer prompts without matching each other’s answers, keeping the audience engaged as they struggled to avoid duplicate jokes.
Seiyuu to Yoru Asobi 2026
The stage for ABEMA’s popular original seiyuu variety program Seiyuu to Yoru Asobi 2026 brought together Yasumoto Hiroki, Enoki Junya, Serizawa Yuu, Hatanaka Tasuku, Shimono Hiro, Toyonaga Kikunosuke, Morikubo Shoutarou, Nakamura Shugo, Kaneda Tomoko, and the show’s official mascot Sobii.
Under the theme “Dive deeper into seiyuu’s ‘likes’! Soaking wet summer festival!!”, the cast took on three missions alongside the audience. They performed audience-requested bits in the “Do This! Quiz Mission” and aimed to clear five challenges within 428 seconds in the “Jumbo Roulette Mission,” inspired by Shibuya. During the reward segment, they performed bon odori to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” in a move dubbed “Bon Jovi.” Toyonaga and Sobii, Serizawa and Hatanaka, and Morikubo and Nakamura each sang on stage while other MCs made their way through the crowd—a boisterous, characteristic Seiyuu to Yoru Asobi performance that got everyone involved.
Tenmaku no Jadoogaru
The Tenmaku no Jadoogaru stage featured Sekine Akira (Shitara), Koshimizu Ami (Doregene), and Kuno Misaki (Sorukokutani). With the series having just concluded, they reflected on the 13th-century Mongolian setting and the appeal of their respective characters.
In a segment titled “My Tenmaku no Jadoogaru,” each chose favorite scenes from the entire series. Kuno selected the scene in Act 4 where Shitara and Sorukokutani talk, and the moment in Act 11 where Shitara scolds Sorukokutani. Koshimizu picked a collection of Kadaku’s hard-working scenes scattered throughout the story. Sekine highlighted the scene of Fatima’s humming in Act 1 and the finale where Shitara and Doregene exchange vows again. The stage offered a deep dive into the series’ world from the cast’s unique perspectives, celebrating the recently completed story.
Tougen Anki
On the Tougen Anki stage, Ura Kazuki (Ichinose Shiki), Sakata Shogo (Yagoroshi Ikari), and Kajiwara Gakuto (Todoroki Hayate) appeared. Ahead of the “Nikko / Kegon Falls Arc” starting October 2, they discussed the newly introduced Kuni-kuni squad and Kajiwara’s character Todoroki Hayate. Alongside the latest key visual and PV, they highlighted the new arc’s highlights.
They also took on a “Lucky Challenge for the Big Success of Nikko / Kegon Falls Arc.” The three tried their luck in a “Russian Sword Drawing” game where one of four swords is a dud, as well as an amida lottery and pull-lottery games. Their attempts to secure good fortune for the arc had the crowd cheering.
Seihantai na Kimi to Boku
Closing out the first day’s rooftop free stage was Seihantai na Kimi to Boku, with Suzushiro Sayumi (Suzuki), Sakata Shogo (Tani), and Kato Wataru (Taira). The yeti mascot from the series also made an appearance as the cast revisited the second season, which is about to conclude.
The stage featured talk segments grouped into four themes: “Suzuki and Tani’s Couple Memories,” “Yamada and Nishi’s Blossoming Romance,” “Taira and Higashi’s Frustrating Relationship,” and “Memories with Classmates.” They recalled memorable second-season moments, including the fireworks festival date and the confession date, sharing how they shaped their performances and their feelings for the characters. They also talked about the graduation ceremony depicted in episode 24, “Start Line,” and a new “graduation ceremony visual” was revealed for the first time on stage, setting up the story’s climax and the end of high school life.
GOALOUS5
At EBiS303 in Ebisu, the five-man male seiyuu group GOALOUS5 held a special talk stage. Kumagai Kentaro (Goras Blue), Komatsu Shohei (Goras Green), Terashima Junta (Goras Yellow), Nakamura Shugo (Goras White), and Fukamachi Toshinari (Goras Pink) gathered for two performances, delivering a special “voice welfare operation” exclusive to the anime fest.
The stage included a quiz segment looking back on the group’s trip to Fukamachi’s hometown of Yamagata Prefecture in “Goras Tabi Yamagata Arc.” Using footage and bonus content from the Blu-ray, they revisited cherry-picking, an after-dinner board game tournament, a wake-up prank on the members, and their excited antics at an amusement park. They also previewed footage from their already-filmed “Goras Tabi Fukuoka Arc,” which is scheduled for YouTube release on October 14.
Kobayashi Chiaki no PARTY x PARTY and Suzumura Kenichi no Raji Base
At Abema Towers, public recordings of the popular radio programs Kobayashi Chiaki no PARTY x PARTY and Suzumura Kenichi no Raji Base took place. Kobayashi Chiaki was joined by guest Ishige Shoya, who underwent a personality test to determine if he is a “true shadow person” (Shado Pi), and the pair competed in a penalty game duel inspired by their co-starring roles.
Suzumura Kenichi and guest Toriumi Kosuke appeared on the latter show. They spoke passionately about Toriumi’s love for pro wrestling and Suzumura’s love for sumo, then faced off in a “Pro Wrestling vs. Sumo: Historic Three-Match Series” involving shiritori and debates, heating up the venue.
PRISMation ATELIER
The first fan event for ABEMA’s next-generation creator support project “Project PRISMation,” titled “PRISMation ATELIER,” featured director Moriyama Rucho of The Horrors’ Horror Home, with Zemyata (director of Poppin-Play Kitchen) and rapitus from Gluttomy joining online from Thailand and Vietnam. Yamamoto Kazutomi served as MC, playing P-chan from Poppin-Play Kitchen. The three directors discussed production secrets and answered fan questions in a cross-border talk session.
In the big announcement segment, merchandise for the first three works was revealed for Lawson Print and DMM Scratch, and Poppin-Play Kitchen Episode 2 was announced for January 2027 with a new illustration. The second wave of projects was also announced: Oshaberi Jewelry to Kaitou no Mure (directed by Hiruma Mio / Mh-artworks), SALON de MONDE (directed by Sato Yuu), and Tougoke Coffee Shop (directed by Sora Shoku Ryou Tenchou Kani). Teaser visuals and videos were shown, with Kani joining online, building excitement for the project’s future.
