CLAMP’s xxxHOLiC series is getting a full-scale tarot deck featuring artwork from the manga. The 78-card set will be bundled with the special edition of xxxHOLiC・戻 (Rei) volume 6, which releases on November 6, 2026.
About the xxxHOLiC series
xxxHOLiC is a manga by CLAMP. It began in Young Magazine in 2003 and attracted attention for its innovative approach of progressing in connection with Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE-. In 2009 it was renamed xxxHOLiC・籠 (Rou), reached its conclusion in 2011, and then restarted as xxxHOLiC・戻 (Rei) in 2013.
The TV anime ran for 24 episodes in its first season and 13 in its second. The franchise also includes the film xxxHOLiC: Manatsu no Yo no Yume, the two-part OVA xxxHOLiC Shunmuki bundled with the limited editions of volumes 14 and 15, plus a live-action drama and live-action film.
Tarot card details
The special edition includes 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The deck draws on illustrations of characters such as Yuko-san, Watanuki, Mokona, and others. Each of the 78 cards uses one of 78 illustrations from the xxxHOLiC series, drawing on both color and monochrome artwork. The cards were selected to match the motifs of the original tarot cards, then given coloring and decorative touches so that each card can also be enjoyed as a standalone illustration.
The deck is produced by Ensky, a company that has handled many products for the CLAMP exhibition. The cards feature a design that makes them look as if they are set inside picture frames.
The special edition pairs the regular xxxHOLiC・戻 volume 6 book with the tarot cards. The cards will not be sold separately and can only be obtained through this special edition. An instruction manual is included as well, making it easy to start tarot readings.
Release and pricing
The regular edition of xxxHOLiC・戻 volume 6 is priced at 990 yen (tax included). The special edition with the tarot cards is priced at 7,700 yen (tax included). Both versions are scheduled for release on November 6, 2026.
