The 4th season of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu is nearing its finale. In episode 84, titled ‘Ram,’ Emilia and the others begin an all-out battle under Subaru’s directions. Julius faces Reid one-on-one and wins while Anastasia watches. Meanwhile, Subaru, Beatrice, and Meili deal with the stampede of demon beasts and the scorpion-transformed Shaula. Ram’s popularity surges as fans call her cool and say they fell for her

As Emilia reaches the first layer to fight the divine dragon Volcanica alone, Ram and Rai Batenkaitos engage in a fierce battle on the spiral staircase.

However, Ram has been unable to fight at her full potential since her oni horn broke in childhood. She lost most of the power that once earned her the name of a prodigy. She is actually being supported by Subaru’s newly acquired authority, Cor Leonis. Although damage is transferred to Subaru, it allows Ram to somehow fight Rai evenly.

Subaru, Beatrice, and Meili, meanwhile, are handling the stampede of demon beasts and the scorpion-transformed Shaula with some leeway, thanks to Meili’s ability to control demon beasts. Subaru even makes Meili an offer:

‘Hey Meili, when everything is over, won’t you become our child?’

It makes sense: Ram has no intention of forgiving the Gluttony archbishop who tore apart her bond with her sister, and she seems ready to bury him in humiliation.

Rai then uses his ability to transform into those he has devoured, employing various skills to corner Ram. He even imitates Rem’s appearance to shake her emotionally.

‘I felt Minase Inori after a long time.’ Viewers are shaken in many ways by Minase Inori’s delivery as Rem, especially her line readings with Rai in mind.

Ram is suddenly pushed back. With her connection to Subaru severed, she is quickly beaten down. But then an unexpected turn occurs: the staff Roswaal gave her breaks, revealing a fragment of Ram’s horn hidden inside. Temporarily regaining all her power, she lands a breathtaking blow on Rai and overwhelms him.

‘Nee-sama!! When her horn broke in childhood, Ram also thought, ‘It finally broke.’ Rem felt the same and, out of guilt, grew even stronger feelings for Ram. But as twins, Ram also could not bear seeing her younger sister feel miserable because of her own power—something that had not been revealed until now.

The sad part is that Rem’s face at that time had been eaten by Rai and the other Gluttony archbishops. Because of this, Ram thoroughly beats Rai.

‘Was Ram this strong?’ ‘Nee-sama is so cool I’m in love!’ ‘Too cool, I fell for her.’ Viewers are furious at Rai for impersonating Rem and using her words even at this point.

‘Even now, you mock Ram?’ Ram feels the same. Seeing an opening, Rai flees, but Ram pursues him. When he begs for his life, she finishes him off without hesitation.

Thus Rem and Patrasche, who had briefly become Rai’s targets, are safely saved, and Ram wins a difficult battle.
