Natsume Yuujinchou fans have a new way to bring the series into everyday paper goods. A stamp lineup called Natsume Hanko Chou Yuuin Collection (Wood Carving / Black Water Buffalo Type) has launched, featuring designs of Nyanko Sensei, Natsume Takashi, Tanuma Kaname, Natori Shuuichi, Matoba Seiji, and more.
A Stamp Collection Inspired by Traditional Yuuin
The Natsume Hanko Chou Yuuin Collection is a set of stamps created for people who love paper, with the idea of adding cute accents to notebooks, letters, and similar items. The designs are based on traditional yuuin stamps. The new Wood Carving / Black Water Buffalo Type joins the lineup.
About Natsume Yuujinchou
Natsume Yuujinchou is an ayakashi contract story based on the manga by Midorikawa Yuki, serialized in Monthly LaLa. The protagonist, Natsume Takashi, is a lonely boy who can see youkai. After inheriting the Yuujinchou left behind by his powerful grandmother Reiko, he becomes a target for youkai. Together with the self-proclaimed bodyguard Nyanko Sensei, Natsume deals with the contracts his grandmother made with youkai. The TV anime began with its first season in 2008 and has aired up to its sixth season.
18 Character Designs to Choose From
In this wood carving and black water buffalo version, fans can choose from 18 character visuals. The lineup includes Nyanko Sensei, Madara, the true form of Nyanko Sensei, protagonist Natsume Takashi, Natsume’s friend Tanuma Kaname, Natori Shuuichi, Matoba Seiji, Misuzu, Chuukyuu Youkai, and Hiiragi.
Shapes and Materials
Each design is available in a round or square shape with a handwritten-style feel. The materials are boxwood (tsuge), known for its durability and beautiful grain and also used for combs, and black water buffalo, which has an elegant luster.
The round type has a 15 mm diameter stamp face, while the square type measures 15 mm by 15 mm. The round type creates atmosphere when pressed softly in a margin, while the square type adds character to notebooks, letters, and other paper items.
The stamps can also be made with names or other content. Familiar characters such as Nyanko Sensei can decorate notebooks, bullet journals, letters, and illustrated letters.
The Natsume Hanko Chou Yuuin Collection (Wood Carving / Black Water Buffalo Type) is currently available through an online shop. The wooden and black water buffalo type is priced at 3,800 yen, while the self-ink type is listed at 3,300 yen.
