TV anime Koukaku Kidoutai THE GHOST IN THE SHELL is collaborating with apparel brand FREAK’S STORE on a line of items featuring Fuchikoma, memorable scenes, and logos. Preorders open on October 2, 2026 at 12:00 JST via the collaboration special page on Shogakukan’s official online store Shogakukan Hyakkaten and FREAK’S STORE’s official online store Daytona Park.
A Cyberpunk Landmark
Koukaku Kidoutai is a cyberpunk SF masterpiece set in a near future where information networks and cyborg technology are highly advanced, and people are connected to cyberbrains. It follows a special unit led by full-body cyborg Kusanagi Motoko as they confront cyber crimes. Since Shirow Masamune first published the original manga in 1989 in Young Magazine Kaizoku-ban, the franchise has expanded through Oshii Mamoru’s film GHOST IN THE SHELL / Koukaku Kidoutai, other animated works, and a Hollywood live-action film, continuing to surprise and stimulate audiences worldwide. The latest TV anime, Koukaku Kidoutai THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, finished airing its final episode on September 8, 2026, and is streaming sequentially on Prime Video and other services.
The items on sale are special pieces using graphics from the work, created in collaboration with apparel brand FREAK’S STORE. Through a three-way perspective unique to Koukaku Kidoutai THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, FREAK’S STORE, and Shogakukan’s business trend media DIME, the collaboration expresses the world of the series through fashion and playful touches.
The Collection
Colored 2nd Key Visual TEE
The Colored 第2弾キービジュアルTEE uses a slightly wide body that is easy to style in various ways, with a print of the key visual that conveys respect for the work. Kusanagi Motoko’s Fuchikoma appears in an original color, plus a camouflage pattern that adds a military element typical of FREAK’S STORE. The cotton-blend fabric has a slightly firm feel and can be worn for three seasons.
Sticker Fuchikoma TEE
The ステッカーフチコマTEE gives the popular AI-equipped think tank Fuchikoma cyber-style stickers and graphics, resulting in an impactful design unique to the collaboration. DIME and FREAK’S STORE offer different color designs.
SceneShot TEE
The SceneShot TEE is a graphic T-shirt featuring memorable scene stills from episodes 1, 6, and 7 of Koukaku Kidoutai THE GHOST IN THE SHELL. While expressing the world of the work, its simple composition makes it easy to wear casually every day.
Collage L/S TEE
The コラージュL/S TEE is a long-sleeve T-shirt that cuts out parts symbolizing Kusanagi Motoko’s prosthetic body and cyberization and reassembles them as a collage, capturing the electronic atmosphere of the Koukaku Kidoutai series. The DIME-limited design is a front print, so it stands out both on its own and as an inner layer.
Cyborg PK
The Cyborg PK boldly uses an impressive scene shot of the back of a prosthetic body as a back print. When worn, the graphic spreads across the entire back, making it an item that symbolizes prosthetic bodies and cyberization. It has sleeve ribs for ease of movement, and two different colors are available at DIME and FREAK’S STORE.
Military Blouson
The Military Blouson is a stadium jacket-style blouson that is useful from early autumn through winter. The DIME-limited design is a premium specification featuring logos from a work by artist Sorayama Hajime, who is legendary in Japan and abroad for works pursuing the beauty of the human body and machines, placed on the front and back.
POSTER
A B3 poster collages Kusanagi Motoko and Fuchikoma as the main subjects, along with cyber-style motifs and graphics. The design is inspired by street culture flyers, expressing the world of Koukaku Kidoutai.
