New merchandise based on the TV anime Sousou no Frieren is on the way. The lineup includes hologram acrylic colored paper, acrylic keyrings, and clear files, with preorders now open on the mail-order site Kyara ON!.
About the Series
Based on the manga by Yamada Kanehito with art by Abe Tsukasa, Sousou no Frieren began its TV anime in September 2023. The story is set in a world after the Demon King has been defeated by heroes. Frieren, a mage who has lived for more than a thousand years, sets out on a journey to understand humans after the death of the hero Himmel, with whom she once defeated the Demon King.
The series has become popular for its mix of comedic character interactions and serious battle scenes using magic and swords, as well as its shifts in tone. The third TV anime season, ‘Ougon Kyou Hen,’ is scheduled to begin broadcasting in October 2027.
Hologram Acrylic Colored Paper
The ‘Hologram Acrylic Colored Paper’ uses a three-layer construction with two layers of illustration printing plus a hologram, making it a good fit for interior decoration. Its convenient size is about 120 x 140 mm. It comes in two types: Frieren and Frieren & Himmel, the latter a two-shot with hero Himmel.
Acrylic Keyrings
The ‘Acrylic Keyring’ measures about 70 mm. Alongside Frieren and Himmel, the lineup includes a Frieren & Mimic version that recreates a famous scene, with Frieren’s cry of ‘Kurai yo!! Kowai yo!!’ seeming to echo from it.
Clear Files
The A4-size ‘Clear File’ is a standard collection item. It comes in two types: Frieren & Himmel and Frieren vol.2. It features full-surface printing without a finger notch.
Frieren vol.2 also lets fans enjoy the cute sleeping face of Frieren as she sleeps peacefully.
