A Long-Running Book-Lover Story
Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen is a fantasy novel by Kazuki Miya, published by TO Books. The story follows a book-loving protagonist who is reincarnated as Myne, a girl in another world, and struggles to make books in a world without them. The series has surpassed 14 million copies in cumulative circulation.
The TV anime began airing in 2019. From April 2026, the latest work, Honzuki no Gekokujou: Ryoushu no Youjo, aired for two consecutive cours and reached its final episode on October 3.
New Arc Announced After Ryoushu no Youjo
The next episode arc after Ryoushu no Youjo, Kizokuin no Jishou Tosho Iin, has now been announced for TV anime adaptation. In the final scene of Ryoushu no Youjo, Rozemyne transfers to the Kizokuin with the words, ‘Well then, I am off.’ The ending has raised expectations for the new series.
Story Background
If there are no books, I will make them. The passion of one girl moves the world.
In Ehrenfest, ruled by magic-wielding nobles, Myne had struggled to make books in a world without them. But the immense magical power hidden within her invites conspiracy. To protect her family and friends in the lower town, she chooses to live as Rozemyne, the lord’s adopted daughter. She parts from her precious family and even throws away her own name.
In a noble society where common sense does not apply, Rozemyne begins her fight with her passion for books and her feelings for her family.
