The full-series rerun of the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba reached Episode 26, ‘Arata naru ninmu’ (New Mission), on October 4, 2026. The episode closes the Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen (Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc) and points the story toward Mugen Ressha-hen (Infinity Train Arc).
Based on Gotouge Koyoharu’s manga, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows Kamado Tanjirou, a boy whose family is killed by demons and whose sister Kamado Nezuko is turned into a demon. He joins the Kisatsutai to fight demons and find a way to turn Nezuko human again. The series mixes tragic human-demon stories, fierce sword battles, memorable characters, and occasional comedy. The 23-volume Jump Comics release has surpassed 220 million copies in circulation.
ufotable’s anime began in April 2019 with the TV anime Kimetsu no Yaiba Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen. After the TV anime Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Geiko-hen aired from May 2024, the story continued with the film trilogy Gekijouban ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Mugen Jou-hen; Chapter 1: Akaza Sairai opened on July 18, 2025.
Note: The following article includes spoilers for viewers who have not seen the work.
Kibutsuji Muzan’s power harassment meeting
In Episode 26, five Kagen no Oni (Lower Moons) of the Juni Kizuki are gathered in a strange structure whose space seems distorted. Lower Six asks, ‘This is the first time this has happened.’ A woman in a kimono appears. Who is she?
‘Bow your heads.’ ‘Prostrate yourselves.’ The one speaking is Kibutsuji Muzan. The Lower Moons break into cold sweats before the demon at the top of all demons. If they speak on their own, he asks, ‘Who said you could speak?’ He can read their thoughts, and when he demands, ‘What is wrong? Say it,’ neither agreeing nor disagreeing changes the fact that Muzan’s word is everything. Defying him means death.
‘There it is, the power harassment meeting.’ ‘I love Muzan-sama’s power harassment meeting quotes too much.’ ‘Watching Kimetsu’s power harassment meeting again, some of Muzan-sama’s points are not wrong. Well, it is still way too unreasonable.’ Online, Muzan-sama’s power harassment meeting became a hot topic. The Lower Moons are desperate, but the cast is another highlight.
Lower Moon cast comments: Hoshi Souichirou, Ueda Kana, and KENN
The official Kimetsu no Yaiba account posts weekly cast comments to mark the full-series rerun. This time, three actors from the Lower Moons shared messages.
Hoshi Souichirou (Lower Three)
Hoshi Souichirou, known for roles such as Kira Yamato in Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED, plays Lower Three. He expressed joy at being able to comment and said, ‘It was quite a while ago and only a brief appearance, but actually, I got a lot of reactions from many people—even now. So I will keep proudly saying that I appeared in Kimetsu no Yaiba (laughs).’ Even a small role in a popular title can be a happy thing.
Ueda Kana (Lower Four)
Ueda Kana, known for Toosaka Rin in Fate/stay night and Nike in Wonderful Precure!, plays Lower Four. She shared an episode about how useful Kimetsu no Yaiba is when telling people about her work.
‘When someone who is not familiar with anime asks, What kind of works have you appeared in? I answer crisply, Kimetsu no Yaiba! I should have been a fairly strong demon (that is how the setting goes, right…!?), and it was trending! I keep it a secret that I die in two or three minutes… because that would be a spoiler!!!’
KENN (Lower Six)
KENN, known for Yuuki Juudai in Yuugiou Duel Monsters GX, plays Lower Six. He said, ‘The tense scene, with the sound of cold sweat overflowing on the wooden floor and blood splattering, left an impression. Having your thoughts read is terrifying. I would be happy if I could convey more of Muzan-sama’s fear.’ He also shared his own scary experience.
Kanawo’s coin and a new mission
After the power harassment meeting, a new order reaches Kamado Tanjirou, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Hashibira Inosuke. Damage from the Mugen Ressha is spreading, and they are told to join Enbashira Rengoku Kyoujurou.
At last, the time to board the Mugen Ressha has come. Tanjirou thanks Kanzaki Aoi, who works at the Butterfly Mansion, and also greets Tsuyuri Kanawo, a sword fighter who survived the same Final Selection. Kanawo decides things she has not been instructed on by throwing a coin and using heads or tails. Even talking with Tanjirou is decided this way: ‘Not talking was heads, talking was tails. Tails came up, so I talked.’ She also keeps saying ‘sayonara.’
Tanjirou wonders, ‘Why do you not decide for yourself?’ and suggests that Kanawo use the coin to decide to listen carefully to her own heart from now on.
‘I love this.’ ‘For Kanawo, this is not a goodbye but the beginning with Tanjirou.’ ‘Is this how their story started?’ ‘Tanjirou’s Why do you not decide for yourself? is too kind…’ Viewers were glued to this famous scene.
And on to the Infinity Train Arc
Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke head for the Mugen Ressha.
‘Tanjirou and the others will face many trials from now on…’ ‘Painful, painful. I am happy Rengoku-san appears, but it is painful.’ ‘The rerun is finally at Infinity Train—no, no, no.’ Fans who know the trials waiting on the Mugen Ressha have complicated feelings.
For the Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Ressha-hen starting next week, messages from Hashibira Inosuke actor Matsuoka Yoshitsugu and Rengoku Kyoujurou actor Hino Satoshi were released on the official account. Aniki!
That wraps up Episode 26, ‘Arata naru ninmu.’
The full-series rerun began on April 5, just before the seventh year since the first broadcast on April 6, 2019. Do not miss Mugen Ressha-hen either!
