Netflix and Pokemon’s co-produced stop-motion animation, Pokemon Concierge, is set to release new episodes (a total of 4 episodes, from 5 to 8) exclusively worldwide starting September 4, 2025. Welcome to the Pokemon Resort!
Pokemon Concierge is a heartwarming stop-motion anime that unfolds on “Pokemon Resort,” a charming southern island where various Pokemon visit as guests. The story follows Haru (voiced by Non), a rookie concierge, and her loyal partner Koduck, as they grow and mature through their interactions with these unique Pokemon. In the previous episodes (1 to 4), we witnessed Haru, initially bogged down by her demanding work life, discover her “true self” while embracing her role as a concierge at the idyllic Pokemon Resort.
At the Pokemon Resort, the Pokemon guests are more relaxed than ever, revealing expressions and behaviors rarely seen. Todoggler, who arrives with veteran sailor Dan (voiced by Yamaji Kazuhiro), is one such delightful creature featured in the new episodes.
Todoggler seems to be thoroughly enjoying its resort stay, playfully riding on other Pokemon down the river and skillfully spinning a ball on its nose. However, Dan, despite the cheerful surroundings, occasionally displays a hint of melancholy in his expressions.
Beyond the main story, one of the many joys of this series is undoubtedly spotting the diverse and distinct Pokemon appearing in every scene. Keep an eye out for memorable moments, like Windie playfully interacting with Haru’s ex-boyfriend, Kent (voiced by Machida Keita), and Kolink showing an adorable curiosity about Koduck’s fluffy head fur!
Yamashita Tatsuro’s Heartwarming Theme Song
In exciting news, it has been announced that in conjunction with the new episode release, the theme song “Onomatope ISLAND,” specially penned by the legendary Yamashita Tatsuro, will also be digitally released on September 4, the very same day the new episodes become available. “Onomatope ISLAND” is a brand-new track Yamashita-san crafted exclusively for this series. It’s a truly heartwarming number, distinguished by its bright vocals and a melody that not only touches the heart but also offers a soothing auditory experience. The charming artwork accompanying the song, perfectly tailored to the enchanting world of Pokemon Concierge, is also a must-see!
Pokemon GO Collaboration and New Merchandise
To further celebrate the arrival of the new episodes, a special collaboration event will be held in Pokémon GO, the popular location-based game app for smartphones co-developed by Pokemon and Niantic, Inc. This event kicks off from 10:00 AM JST on September 9. During this event, players will have the chance to encounter Pokemon and characters featured prominently in the new episodes, including a special Koduck wearing a float, as well as Todoggler, Windie, and Eievui. Furthermore, delightful new stickers featuring Pokemon Concierge Pokemon designs will be added to the game, and Haru’s iconic aloha shirt will be available as a customizable avatar item!
And that’s not all! It has also been revealed that a fresh lineup of merchandise, all themed around Pokemon Concierge, will make its debut at Pokemon Centers nationwide on September 6. The star of this collection is the “Posing Plushie Koduck,” a wonderfully soft plush toy designed to resemble Koduck from the series. This adorable plush even allows you to recreate Koduck’s famous psychic pose, holding its head! The lineup further expands the series’ charming world with items such as a “Todoggler & Dedenne Paperweight,” which recreates an iconic scene from the main story, and a “Yadon & Nuoh Wood-style Accessory Tray,” inspired by the beautiful background art. Truly, there’s something for every fan!
