The Blu-ray, 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray, and DVD releases of the film Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway: Kirukee no Majo are set to go on sale on January 27, 2027. To mark the release, a two-week limited theatrical re-run will begin on December 11, 2026. A stage greeting is also scheduled for December 12, 2026, with Ono Kensho, Ueda Reina, director Murase Shukou, and producer Kasai Keisuke attending.
Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway follows Hathaway Noa, the leader of the anti-Earth Federation government movement Mafty. After a fateful encounter, he meets Gigi Andalucia, a girl with mysterious powers, and comes face to face with Earth Federation Colonel Kenneth Sleg. The story is a human drama in which the fates of these three characters intersect. It adapts the novel by Tomino Yoshiyuki, the creator of the series, and carries on the world of Kidou Senshi Gundam: Gyakushuu no Char, which depicted the final battle between Amuro and Char.
The first chapter, released theatrically in June 2021, drew attention for its hard, realistic battle direction and the delicate dialogue and psychological portrayal of its characters. Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway: Kirukee no Majo opened in theaters nationwide on January 30 as the second chapter of the three-part project. It was highly praised for its sense of scale and detailed drama, and became a bigger hit than the previous film.
Each Blu-ray and DVD product will use a sleeve case featuring a newly drawn illustration by the film’s character designer, pablo uchida. The quantity limited edition and special limited edition will include event footage, such as the March concert Senkou no Hathaway THE SOUND OF U.C.0105 by Sawano Hiroyuki and others, as well as stage greetings. The quantity limited edition will also include a newly recorded reading CD for the middle volume of the novel Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway, performed by Sasaki Nozomu, who played Hathaway in Kidou Senshi Gundam: Gyakushuu no Char.
A new illustration for a corporate bonus item has also been revealed.
During the limited re-run from December 11 to December 24, 2026, participating theaters will offer the Blu-ray quantity limited edition [with recording script], which can only be obtained at screening theaters.
MOVIE WALKER STORE has also started selling MoviTicke advance tickets (online) for the re-run, and has opened order sales for the Blu-ray quantity limited edition [with recording script] bundled MoviTicke advance ticket (online). This offers a chance to enjoy the film in theaters again and to get the Blu-ray early.
