Plot Summary
Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), who was imprisoned in a Moscow prison, is broken out with the guidance of IMF agents Jane (Paula Patton) and Benji (Simon Pegg). An IMF agent named Trevor’s (Josh Holloway) mission failed, and the IMF has called upon Ethan to retrieve the stolen classified files.
Ethan infiltrates the Kremlin to carry out the mission, but shortly after, it is bombed by someone, and Ethan and his team are framed for the explosion.
With the activation of the “Ghost Protocol,” the US government erases Ethan’s existence. To uncover the true culprit behind the bombing, Ethan brings analyst Brandt (Jeremy Renner) on board as a companion and proceeds with his own investigation.
The true culprit who emerges is Kurt Hendricks (Mikael Nyqvist), a man plotting nuclear war. To stop Hendricks’ dangerous ambitions, Ethan and his companions arrive at the Burj Khalifa, a supertall skyscraper in Dubai, where Hendricks is scheduled to make a deal…
Breaking through multiple layers of strict security, Ethan successfully completes a life-risking mission. However, the crucial Hendricks manages to escape!
