Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningenkirai Kyoushi TV Anime Adaptation Announced for January 2026! School “Human” Drama, a Debut Work by Nijisanji’s Kurusu Natsume, Becomes a Hot Topic!

The popular light novel series, **Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningenkirai Kyoushi** (which can be translated as “The Misanthropic Teacher of the Non-Human Classroom”), originating from Kadokawa’s “MF Bunko J” imprint, is officially getting a TV anime adaptation set to air in January 2026! This exciting news comes with the release of a captivating teaser PV and a stunning teaser visual. The series gained significant attention as the debut novel from Kurusu Natsume, a popular liver belonging to the VTuber group “Nijisanji”. The main cast has also been revealed, featuring Masuda Toshiki, Amamiya Sora, Oonishi Saori, Naganawa Maria, and Tanabe Rui.

**Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningenkirai Kyoushi** is a heartwarming school “human” drama. It was launched in February 2022 as the second title in Kadokawa’s “MF Bunko J” new literary series and immediately saw reprints due to its popularity. Its unique premise and connection to Nijisanji’s Kurusu Natsume made it a hot topic among VTuber fans.

The story follows Ningen Zero, a former teacher in his late twenties who developed a severe trauma towards human relationships due to a certain incident. As part of his rehabilitation as a teacher, he begins working at a school nestled in a lush, natural mountain setting. However, this is no ordinary school; it’s a place where non-human girls are striving to become human! He encounters girls from various races – a mermaid, a werewolf, a rabbit, and a bird. Why do these non-human girls desire to become human? What aspects of humans, whom Htoma-sensei despises, have captivated them? The anime promises to depict the unique school life of a misanthropic teacher and his non-human students who yearn to be human.

The newly unveiled teaser visual showcases Ningen Zero standing in front of a classroom blackboard, joined by Mizuki Kyouka with her blue hair flowing and an outstretched hand, Oomori Isaki adjusting her red glasses, Usami Sui leaning on the teacher’s desk, and Haneda Tobari gripping Ningen Zero’s arm. This visual perfectly captures the charming and mysterious atmosphere of the series.

Accompanying the visual, a teaser PV has also been released, offering a sneak peek at the animated footage. While the video itself is captivating, the main staff and cast details were also revealed alongside it. Animation production will be handled by asread., with Iwanaga Akira directing, Takayama Katsuhiko in charge of series composition, and Okada Maiko designing the characters.

The teaser PV also features a snippet of the ending theme, “Ningen Come True!”, a character song performed by Mizuki Kyouka, Oomori Isaki, Usami Sui, and Haneda Tobari. Be sure to listen closely! Additionally, celebratory illustrations from original character designer Izumi Aya and manga artist Kureno Atsu, along with comments from original author Kurusu Natsume, Director Iwanaga Akira, and the main cast, have been shared.

Fans can also look forward to a special stage event for the series at “MF Bunko J ‘Autumn School Festival 2025′” on November 16th. Applications for attendance open on September 10th. The four voice actresses portraying the non-human students – Amamiya Sora, Oonishi Saori, Naganawa Maria, and Tanabe Rui – will all be present to deliver the latest information about the TV anime. This work is a heartwarming story where Htoma-sensei, a human teacher, and his non-human students confront various challenges and grow together amidst their chaotic school life.
Htoma-sensei, who remains surprisingly unwavering despite being at the mercy of his unique students, made every recording session feel fresh.

Amamiya Sora as Mizuki Kyouka

This is a heartwarming story depicting the daily lives of adorable non-human students and their human teacher!
Every time I touched upon the students’ “ningen ni naritai” (desire to become human) and the individual thoughts and circumstances behind it, my affection for them grew.
It’s a work I recommend to everyone, young and old, as it will make you feel warm and fuzzy with their innocence and cuteness, and sometimes even bring tears to your eyes with the strength of their feelings. Please look forward to the broadcast!

Oonishi Saori as Oomori Isaki

I’m Oonishi Saori, playing Oomori Isaki-chan. I had the pleasure of playing Isaki-chan in an earlier voice drama, so I’m incredibly, incredibly happy to continue playing her in the TV anime!
Isaki-chan is a werewolf girl who attends school to become human. As a human myself, I tried to be careful not to let my own normal become Isaki-chan’s normal. It was difficult…!!
Isaki-chan is a character whose charm grows the more you delve into her, so please look forward to the broadcast.

Naganawa Maria as Usami Sui

I’m Naganawa Maria, playing Usami Sui-chan. While we humans sometimes look at humans objectively, we don’t often view or think about them from a completely different perspective. In this work, there are as many perspectives on humans as there are students. I feel this story is about fascinating non-human children who teach us, and make us realize, the good aspects of humans. I hope you enjoy the anime and can empathize with the complex thoughts and hearts that humans possess. I will do my best to portray Sui-chan! Thank you for your support.
