In front of this impressive landmark, a statue of Kamen Yaibaa is depicted, with the trio gathered around it, enjoying their sightseeing adventure.
Takayama Minami Shares Her Thoughts on the Collaboration
In commemoration of this special original episode, Takayama Minami, the esteemed voice of Konan, has shared her heartfelt comments. She revealed that this collaboration episode came to fruition after discussions with the staff, sparked by her personal connection to reconstruction support efforts in Miyagi Prefecture. She extended a warm message to viewers, saying, “I hope everyone who watches this story can enjoy Miyagi Prefecture just like Konan and his friends. Ah, but without the cases, of course! (laughs).”
Konan Speaks Miyagi Dialect in Special PR Video!
A special PR video featuring Konan speaking the distinctive Miyagi dialect has also been released. Konan’s narration perfectly captures the unique intonation and characteristic sentence endings like “~daccha” and “~ccha ne” specific to Miyagi’s local language. How many years ago did this project begin? Miyagi Prefecture, where we formed a bond through reconstruction support efforts. Especially Ishinomaki and Rikuzenono, which I visited several times a year, except during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each time I went, the reconstruction progressed, and the cityscape changed… The people living there were bright, kind, and strong. Something always moved me. I had been discussing with the Konan staff how we could offer some assistance. I am deeply moved that those seeds have finally blossomed into this project. Even during recording, a wave of emotion came over me when I read the subtitle, and I was captivated by the characters and scenery. There were even places I hadn’t visited yet, making me want to go again myself. I hope everyone who watches this story can enjoy Miyagi Prefecture just like Konan and his friends. Ah, but without the cases, of course! (laughs)

[Story]
Konan, Ran, Kogorou, and Haibara visit Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. There, they find Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta dressed as Kamen Yaibaa Youth Troopers. Miyagi Television had organized a campaign, “Kamen Yaibaa Youth Troopers Recruitment! Co-star with Kamen Yaibaa! Fight alongside us!” The three children won and were participating in a filming session in Ishinomaki City. The day before the filming, the group was sightseeing in Ishinomaki City, led by Kanehara Naoya, a production assistant for Kamen Yaibaa’s filming staff. During their outing, Konan and Haibara spot Chiba Keiji. Though curious, they decide not to approach him. The next day, Ayumi, who went back to retrieve a forgotten script, disappears. It seems Ayumi is with Chiba Keiji… Dario, an overseas reseller, is secretly operating in Ishinomaki City and has even committed murder. Can Konan rescue Ayumi and Chiba Keiji from the clutches of Dario?
