The fun began as the three took their original photos, ready to transform their hair and beards using the app. However, a “processing error” immediately appeared, causing a technical glitch and a temporary halt to the challenge. Ever the professionals, Morikubo-san and Okamoto-san smoothly bridged the gap by discussing their participation in “Otomate Party 2025”, keeping the audience entertained until the show could resume.
Morikubo Shoutarou’s Hair-Raising Transformations!
Once the app was back online, the transformations began! Morikubo Shoutarou-san was the first to appear on screen. The three hosts cheered as he was styled with a perm, then shifted to a short-haired look. Okamoto-san playfully remarked, “You look a bit like Kato Cha-san!” Morikubo-san chuckled, responding, “Do I really look like Kato Cha-san? More like my cousin, Satoru.” He then added, “This is Satoru! My cousin!” when a skinhead version of himself was revealed, much to everyone’s amusement.
The laughs continued as Morikubo-san tried on a long female hairstyle, prompting him to exclaim, “Scary, scary, scary! I look like a tired Takahashi Chiaki-san!” Okamoto-san agreed, noting, “Indeed, there’s a resemblance to Chiaking-san.” Morikubo-san went on to share a hilarious anecdote: “Chiaki-san and I actually look alike; when I cross-dress really seriously, I end up looking like Chiaki-san! I once sent her a photo of me in drag, asking, ‘Don’t I look like you?'”
Okamoto Nobuhiko’s Hair Adventures!
Okamoto Nobuhiko-san wasn’t spared from the hilarious transformations either! He first tried an afro, but due to an app glitch, even his eyebrows were altered, making him look like an entirely different person. Morikubo-san quipped, “Doesn’t he look like Nakamura Shuugo-san?” Later, when Okamoto-san switched to a short-haired style, his features became strikingly chiseled, resembling a foreign celebrity. Morikubo-san burst out, “He looks like Hirai Ken-san! ‘Ookina Noppo no Furu Tokei’!” (referencing a famous song by Hirai Ken), igniting laughter in the studio. He was even praised with “That’s Holan Chiaki-san! So cute!” when styled with a female bob cut.
Fukunishi Katsuya’s Avant-Garde Styles and Okamoto Nobuhiko’s Beards!
Fukunishi Katsuya-san’s turns were equally entertaining! When he tried a long hairstyle, perhaps influenced by the color of his bandana, he ended up with striking long white hair, which delighted the cast. His subsequent “dango” bun hairstyle bizarrely produced a Mt. Fuji-like pattern on his forehead, making all three burst into laughter, exclaiming, “Why did it turn out like this!?” Fukunishi-san himself described it as “avant-garde art,” and the look, reminiscent of Himiko from Yamatai-koku, had the ABEMA comment section buzzing with “Why LOL” and “Too funny LOL.”
As the trio grew more adept with the app, they moved on to processing beards for Okamoto-san. Morikubo-san couldn’t help but comment, “He looks like a swindler! A marriage swindler!” Then, thanks to Fukunishi-san’s precise operation, Okamoto-san appeared with just a mustache, creating a wild, rugged look. Okamoto-san assessed his own appearance, saying, “I have a literary figure vibe,” and “I could be on a banknote,” which drew more laughs from the studio.
