October 22nd marks a special occasion for anime enthusiasts: “Anime Day”! This date was officially established in 2017 to commemorate the release of Japan’s very first full-color feature-length animated film, `Hakujaden`, back in 1958.

Over half a century has passed since then, and Japan has brought forth an incredible, countless number of anime masterpieces into the world. We all have those special titles that resonate deeply within us—whether they’re shows we watched repeatedly during our childhoods, or powerful narratives that profoundly shifted our perspectives as adults. Surely, everyone cherishes a particular anime that holds a significant place in their heart.

Your Life’s Best Anime: Take Our Survey!

That’s why Anime! Anime! is excited to launch a new reader survey titled “What is Your Life’s Best Anime?” This is your chance to tell us, in a free-response format, the top three titles that you consider the absolute best in your life so far! Don’t hold back; let us know which anime truly captivated you.

• The survey accepts responses for anime works (including TV broadcasts, movies, streaming series, OVAs, and more) as well as characters featured in 2D content like games, CD series, and manga.
• We kindly request one response per person.
