“Aianana”: Baby Idols are Too Cute! I Went to the “Bebi Komu” Store [Report]

The “16 STAR SIGNS” 2025 Birthday Store, a special event celebrating the birthdays of the idols from IDOLiSH7, is currently underway. For September, instead of a store dedicated to a specific idol, the special “Bebi Komu Store” is being held. As Anime!Anime! diligently reports on this event every month, we naturally went undercover to bring you the September experience!

What is Bebi Komu?

In this adorable concept, all 16 idols from IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER, Re:vale, and ŹOOĻ transform into their baby forms! They appear in a charming chibi style, about two heads tall, wearing rabbit headgear (or fox headgear for ŹOOĻ), rompers, and bibs. It’s an overwhelmingly cute sight! Many managers (fans) have surely been captivated by these baby idols during in-app events where they can care for and play with them during their birthday periods.

Due to popular demand, these beloved Bebi Komu designs have now been transformed into merchandise! The lineup features new items distinct from the usual birthday store offerings. You can find photo cards capturing the babies sleeping or drinking milk, and acrylic card stands perfectly designed to display them. There are also cradle-like swaying acrylic flakes with wobbling stands, and shake-shake acrylic keyholders that make a delightful sound when rattled. Each item is crafted to bring a smile to your face.

Among the fantastic selection, the mascot figures were particularly popular, eliciting cries of “So cute!” and “I absolutely have to have this!” from the managers. These rubber figures, standing about 7 centimeters tall, depict the idols in a seated pose, allowing you to admire them from various angles. Their size makes them perfect for cradling in your palm. They’re also wonderfully portable, making it fun to take them out on adventures and capture memorable photos.

Seeing the actual merchandise in the store made them even more endearing, making us want to collect all of them and line them up! These delightful goods are available for pre-order on the Animate online shop and Movic online shop.

Store Decorations are Also All About the Babies

While the usual birthday events feature life-size panels and visual card illustrations of the members, the Bebi Komu Store showcased a gigantic cake at its center. Perched atop this cake were the baby idols themselves. What makes them so charming is that they aren’t all looking directly at the camera; instead, their gazes wander in various directions, perfectly capturing their innocent, childlike demeanor.

The monitors, which typically showed footage from Mubinana (also known as Gekijouban IDOLiSH7 LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD) during previous events, were now playing Bebi Komu footage. During their birthdays, we could give them “presents” and “chat” with them in the app, but they usually departed after a few days. So, it was a real joy to see them again after some time!

The event will continue to be held until December 2025. In October, Tsunashi Ryuunosuke-kun from TRIGGER will be featured. Why not make a trip to Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo?
