This time, we are conducting a reader survey titled “Tell Us About Your Oshi! Anime! Anime! Oshi-katsu Survey.” We invite you to share the works you are currently supporting across anime, manga, and games, in a free-response format. The deadline is October 27th.
Celebrating “I-i Oshi no Hi”
November 4th marks “I-i Oshi no Hi” (Good Oshi Day), a special anniversary established in 2019. This date is a delightful play on words, with “i-i” sounding like the Japanese word for “good” and also representing “11” (ichi-ichi), while “oshi” sounds like “04” (zero-yon). It’s a day to celebrate your favorite things and characters!

In recent years, “oshi-katsu” (literally “pushing activities”) has garnered significant attention in pop culture. This term refers to the passionate activities of supporting your absolute favorite (or “oshi”) series or character. Many of our readers, we’re sure, have an “oshi” title among anime, manga, or games, passionately dedicating their time and energy to celebrate what they love.
