New Kimetsu no Yaiba Watches Feature Shinazugawa Sanemi, Iguro Obanai, Himejima Gyomei & Kanazawa Haku – All Hashira Models Now Available!
The anime Kimetsu no Yaiba is collaborating with the watch brand GARRACK to release new mechanical (automatic) watches featuring traditional Kanazawa Haku craftsmanship. Three new models, inspired by Shinazugawa Sanemi, Iguro Obanai, and Himejima Gyomei, have been added to the lineup. Pre-orders begin on November 17, 2025.
Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime adaptation of the hugely popular manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump Comics.” With all 23 volumes released, the manga has sold over 150 million copies! The story follows Kamado Tanjiro, a young boy whose family is tragically slaughtered by demons. His younger sister, Nezuko, is the sole survivor but has been transformed into a demon herself. To turn Nezuko back into a human and avenge his family, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps (Kisatsutai), plunging himself into a desperate battle against demons. The series has captivated audiences worldwide with its poignant tales of humans and demons, breathtaking sword fighting sequences, a cast of incredibly charming characters, and the occasional perfectly timed comedic moments.
The anime series, expertly brought to life by animation studio ufotable, began its journey in April 2019 with TV Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba: Tanjiro Kamado Risshihen (also known as *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado Arc*). The saga continues to expand, with Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugenjohen (also known as *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie – Mugen Castle Arc*) confirmed as a three-part film series. The first installment, “Daiisshou Akaza Sairai” (*Chapter One: Akaza Returns*), premiered on July 18. These films promise an epic final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and demons, set within the demons’ ominous stronghold, the “Mugen Castle” (Infinity Castle).
The “GARRACK Kimetsu no Yaiba x S-MEISTER” collaboration brings the beloved characters of Kimetsu no Yaiba to life through the stunning application of “Kanazawa Haku,” a revered traditional craft.
Each watch dial is meticulously finished by skilled artisans, making these pieces true works of art. At the heart of these timepieces lies a Japanese-made movement, and with the watches assembled in Japan, they proudly bear the “Made in Japan” mark, ensuring exceptional quality and precision.
The watches boast eye-catching designs, with dials and indices intricately crafted to evoke the essence of each character. With the addition of the Shinazugawa Sanemi, Iguro Obanai, and Himejima Gyomei models, all nine Hashira models are now complete, bringing together the entire pantheon of powerful Demon Slayer Corps leaders!
Each model features unique details that fans will adore. At the 12 o’clock position, the Shinazugawa Sanemi and Himejima Gyomei models proudly display the motif of their Kasugai Garasu (communication crow), while the Iguro Obanai model features his loyal snake companion, Kaburamaru. Another highlight is the rotating disk that turns every second, intricately designed with a Tsuba (sword guard) motif. The hour and minute hands are also character-specific: the Shinazugawa Sanemi and Iguro Obanai models feature designs inspired by their Nichirin Tou (Sun Blades) and their sheaths. The Himejima Gyomei model, on the other hand, incorporates the chain portion of his unique Nichirin Tou. A particularly clever detail for the Himejima Gyomei model is that when the hands align over the 2 and 10 o’clock indices, the Nichirin Tou design becomes complete!
Known for its use in iconic structures like Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), Kanazawa Haku (Kanazawa gold leaf) hails from Kanazawa, Japan’s top producer of gold leaf. This traditional craft developed thanks to Kanazawa’s ideal climate and rich history in gold leaf production. Master artisans carefully pound metal ingots until they reach an astonishing thinness of approximately 0.1μm (one ten-thousandth of a millimeter). Each piece is then meticulously hand-colored with dedication and precision. Because every step is done by hand, each watch possesses a unique character, ensuring that your chosen “oshi” (favorite) character model will truly be one-of-a-kind!
