About Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, which has sold over 220 million copies across all 23 volumes published by Shueisha’s “Jump Comics.” The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a boy whose family was slaughtered by demons. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps with the sole purpose of turning his demon-transformed sister, Kamado Nezuko, back into a human, throwing himself into a fierce battle against demons. The series has captivated audiences with its poignant tale of humans and demons, intense sword fighting, charismatic characters, and occasional comedic moments.
The anime series, produced by the acclaimed animation studio ufotable, kicked off in April 2019 with TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen, and has continued its compelling narrative since. Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou-hen has been announced as a three-part film series, with its first chapter, “Akaza Sairai,” having premiered on July 18. This arc features the climactic final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons, set within the demons’ stronghold, the Mugen Castle.
