Following the trends of VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality), `Demons Crest` plunges readers into the realm of MR (Mixed Reality), where a terrifying death game unfolds for a group of elementary school students. The story kicks off with Yuuma, whose real name is Ashihara Yuuma, a sixth-grader from Yukibana Elementary School, along with his classmates. They participate in the test play of the world’s first full-sensory immersive VRMMO-RPG, aptly named `Actual Magic (AM)`.
Yuuma is initially captivated by the breathtaking VR world brought to life by this new technology.
