A Journey Through Time: Sousou no Frieren-Inspired Watch Released

From the TV anime *Sousou no Frieren*, a “Watch for the Hero’s Party” has been unveiled. This timepiece is inspired by the journey of Himmel and his companions, with intricate details that capture the world of the series. Reservations are currently open at “AMNIBUS”, a retailer specializing in original anime and manga merchandise.

*Sousou no Frieren* is based on the manga by Yamada Kanohito with art by Abe Tsukasa, serialized in “Shounen Sunday”. The story is set in the world *after* the Demon King has been defeated by the hero and his party. It follows Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years and was part of the hero’s party that vanquished the Demon King, and her new journey with people she meets along the way.

With its fresh perspective set “after the defeat of the Demon King”, the story has captivated many readers through its deeply moving drama and dialogue, thrilling battles involving magic and swordsmanship, and moments of genuine humor woven together by its memorable characters. The compiled volumes currently in print have surpassed 24 million copies in circulation, showcasing its immense popularity.

The TV anime adaptation, produced by Madhouse, covered the [First Class Mage Exam Arc] in its first season. This arc depicted the challenging trials required to obtain the “First Class Mage” qualification, which is necessary for Frieren and her companions to reach [Aureole], the “Land of the Soul’s Rest,” their travel destination.

The second season, scheduled to begin airing in January 2026, will pick up immediately after the conclusion of the first season. It will follow Frieren, her disciple Fern (who obtained her First Class Mage qualification), and the warrior Stark as they resume their journey from Oisaast, the setting of the [First Class Mage Exam Arc]. This will cover the story starting from Chapter 61 of the manga, found in Volume 7.

The “Watch for the Hero’s Party,” currently available for pre-order, draws inspiration from the travels of Himmel and his party in the series. Its design meticulously incorporates the world of *Sousou no Frieren* down to the finest details. The watch face features designs of the “flower field summoning magic” – a cherished memory with Himmel – along with the Sougetsusou (Blue Moon Grass) and Kyourenge (Mirror Lotus) flowers.

Furthermore, the small seconds sub-dial represents the 10 years Frieren spent traveling with the Hero’s Party during her long life, with the hand stopped at the 10 o’clock position. The back of the case is engraved with Himmel’s memorable line in English: “I want to have a fun journey, one that I can laugh about later and say, ‘That was pointless.'” This watch is a special piece, etched with the memories of their journey. The included box features a sophisticated design, allowing the watch to be displayed as is. It’s a versatile item that can be used for daily wear or on special occasions.
