Meitantei Konan “RPG Collection” Goods Emerge, Featuring Konan-kun and Friends as RPG Characters!
From the TV anime Meitantei Konan comes exciting new merchandise in the “RPG Collection” series, featuring characters re-imagined with a role-playing game theme! Characters like Edogawa Konan, Haibara Ai, and Kaitou Kid are adorably deformed and depicted in styles reminiscent of RPG game characters.
The mystery manga Meitantei Konan, created by Aoyama Goushou, has been serialized in “Shuukan Shounen Sunday” since 1994. It tells the story of high school detective Kudou Shinichi, who is shrunk into a child’s body by the mysterious Black Organization and continues to solve difficult cases under the name “Edogawa Konan”. Volume 107 of the tankoubon series was released in April 2025.
The TV anime adaptation began broadcasting in January 1996 and reached its 1000th episode in March 2021. The 27th theatrical film in the series, Meitantei Konan: 100-man Doru no Michishirube (also known as *Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram*), released on April 12, 2024, achieved a series first by exceeding 10 million audiencegoers. The 2025 film, Meitantei Konan: Flashback, was released on April 18th.
Now, characters such as Edogawa Konan, Haibara Ai, Kaitou Kid, Mouri Ran, Amuro Tooru, Akai Shuuichi, and Mouri Kogorou have appeared as the “RPG Collection,” drawn with a role-playing game motif.
These characters are depicted in deformed styles wearing outfits that evoke images of heroes, princesses, or mages, truly looking like characters pulled straight from a game! They showcase a charm that’s a little different from their usual anime appearances.
The “RPG Collection” boasts a rich lineup of 11 items in total, including the “Game Screen Style Acrylic Stand” which makes you feel like you’re playing the game, “Acrylic Stand”, “Acrylic Keychain”, “Mini Shikishi”, “Hologram Sticker”, “Ticket Style Card”, “Can Badge”, “Pass Case”, “Pennant”, “Microfiber Towel”, and “Leisure Sheet Style Bag”.
