New Licca-chan Dolls Inspired by Meitantei Konan Announced!
Two types of dress-up dolls from the “Licca-chan” series, inspired by the TV anime Meitantei Konan, are set to be released. These dolls capture the essence of the series’ world: the “Meitantei Konan Edogawa Konan Daisuki Licca-chan” and the “Meitantei Konan Kaitou Kiddo Daisuki Licca-chan”.
About Meitantei Konan
Meitantei Konan, a mystery manga by Aoyama Goushou serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” since 1994, follows the story of high school detective Kudou Shinichi who is shrunk into a child by a mysterious Black Organization. Taking on the identity of “Edogawa Konan,” he tackles difficult cases. The 107th volume of the manga was released in April 2025.
The TV anime began airing in January 1996 and reached its 1,000th episode in March 2021. The latest theatrical film, the 28th in the series titled Meitantei Konan Sekigan no Furashubakku (literally “Detective Conan: Flashback of the One-Eyed”), released recently, unfolds a story set in a snowy mountain area in Nagano Prefecture, featuring Mouri Kogorou and Yamato Kansuke as key characters. Since its premiere on April 18, 2025, the film surpassed 10.4 billion yen in box office revenue in just 19 days, the fastest in the series’ history, marking the third consecutive film to cross the 10 billion yen milestone – a remarkable achievement!
The Dolls Arrive!
Now, prepare for the arrival of Licca-chan dolls dressed as Edogawa Konan and Kaitou Kiddo! These items are sure to be enjoyed by Licca-chan collectors and Konan fans alike.
Edogawa Konan Daisuki Licca-chan
This doll sports Edogawa Konan’s iconic blue jacket and half-pants. The attention to detail in the accessories, such as the “elastic suspenders” on the half-pants and the “wristwatch-type tranquilizer gun,” is truly fascinating.
It also comes with a “headband” that allows Licca-chan to replicate Konan’s hairstyle. By pairing the bob haircut with the headband, the design aims to retain Licca-chan’s inherent cuteness while still offering a look that will delight Konan fans.
Kaitou Kiddo Daisuki Licca-chan
Wearing a white tuxedo with a cape and his signature “hat” and “monocle,” this Licca-chan doll perfectly embodies Kaitou Kiddo’s style.
The slim-fitting pants create a stylish silhouette, while the shiny cape fabric captures the image of Kaitou Kiddo making his grand, dazzling entrances. The monocle is meticulously detailed with a four-leaf clover mark, colored black on both sides and green on the edge, showing great attention to minute elements. A “Trump Gun” accessory is also included.
Release Information
“Edogawa Konan Daisuki Licca-chan” and “Kaitou Kiddo Daisuki Licca-chan” will each be priced at 5,500 yen (tax included).
They are scheduled for release on August 30th at toy specialty stores, toy sections of department stores and mass retailers, internet shops, and Takara Tomy’s official shopping site “Takara Tomy Mall,” among other locations.
