`Jigoku Sensei Nuubee` is a fresh anime adaptation of the popular occult hero action manga series, originally written by Makura Shou and illustrated by Okano Takeshi. It was serialized in “Weekly Shounen Jump” from 1993 to 1999, boasting an impressive cumulative circulation of over 29 million copies.
The series captivated readers with its thrilling stories based on school ghost stories and urban legends. It tells the heroic tales of Nueho Meisuke, also known as “Nuubee,” a spiritual ability teacher who bravely protects his students from the threats of yokai and evil spirits, earning him multi-generational popularity. The original manga was previously adapted into a TV anime from 1996 to 1997, along with theatrical films and OVAs. In 2014, it even received a live-action TV drama adaptation starring Maruyama Ryuhei.

Believing the rumor that “it will appear before anyone who hears this story within three days,” Makoto is tormented by anxiety.
Soon, inexplicable occurrences begin around him, making him fear railroad crossing sounds and mysterious presences. On the third day, “it” finally reveals itself. Cornered by inescapable terror, Makoto desperately cries for help…

The sixth episode of the summer anime `Jigoku Sensei Nuubee`, “Teketeke no Kai,” will be broadcast nationwide on TV Asahi through the “IMAnimation W” block starting at 11:45 PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Additionally, the latest episode will be available for free broadcast on ABEMA every Wednesday at 1:00 AM (25:00 JST). A free streaming period for the latest episode will also be available for one week starting every Saturday at 12:15 AM (24:15 JST), three days after the broadcast.
