Bandori! Ave Mujica New Movie & New TV Anime in Production! New Mini-Anime Ganso! Bandori-chan Starts in October! Summer Showcase 2025 New Information
Exciting new updates have arrived from the BanG Dream! (known popularly as Bandori!) project, including news on the animated sequel series for the TV anime BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!/Ave Mujica, and follow-up information on the new mini-anime Ganso! Bandori-chan.
These announcements were made during the Bandori! Summer Showcase 2025, streamed on August 14, 2025. During the event, it was also revealed that the smartphone game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! (affectionately known as Garupa!) will feature a new song provided by Hitorie for Morfonica, alongside the implementation of the 5th installment of the Parallel Vocal project.
The BanG Dream! (Bandori!) project, initiated by Bushiroad, is a next-generation girl band project where characters and live performances are intricately linked. It’s a multimedia powerhouse, spanning anime, games, and real-life live concerts. What’s truly unique is that the voice actors for the in-story bands – Poppin’Party, Roselia, Morfonica, RAISE A SUILEN, MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Yumegen Oomyuutaippu – actually form real bands and actively perform live instrumental concerts. The project celebrated its monumental 10th anniversary on February 28, 2025.
At the heart of this project’s world is Garupa!, or BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, a captivating rhythm and adventure game. This easy-to-play rhythm game allows up to five players to enjoy simultaneously, featuring beloved songs from the anime and live performances, as well as popular anime song covers. Its story scenes boast high-quality Live2D technology, bringing characters to life with incredibly vibrant movement. In November 2022, during its sixth year since launch, the game surpassed 16 million domestic users. With its 8.5th anniversary approaching on September 16, anticipation for future developments continues to soar.
During the recent live broadcast of the Bandori! Summer Showcase 2025, the latest updates for this exciting project were unveiled. It was confirmed that animated sequel series for both the TV anime BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!, which aired in summer 2023, and the TV anime BanG Dream! Ave Mujica, which concluded its broadcast this March, are currently in diligent production. Specifically, a new Ave Mujica movie and a new TV anime series are in the works. Further details regarding their release and broadcast dates will be announced at a later time.
Furthermore, the new mini-anime Ganso! Bandori-chan is set to begin sequential streaming every Thursday from October 2nd at 21:00 JST, across platforms including the YouTube “Bandori-channe-ru☆” channel, ABEMA, dAnime Store, Niconico, and Bandai Channel. In conjunction with this announcement, the main key visual has been revealed, along with its introduction. It promises to be a riotous girl band comedy brimming with avant-garde charm, featuring a grand assembly of pop and cute band members.
In other Garupa! news, as part of the special “Artist Tie-up” project – where artists active in various music genres produce and provide songs for Garupa! members to sing for each band – it has been officially decided that Hitorie will provide an original song titled “Beauty For” for Morfonica.
“Beauty For” will have an animated music video produced, featuring Morfonica members in character designs that perfectly match the song’s unique world. This truly builds anticipation!
Furthermore, the members and candidate songs for the 5th installment of the “Parallel Vocal” project have been revealed! This project features units that transcend band boundaries, performing original Garupa! songs.
The units are “PINKISH!!!!”, comprised of Uehara Himari, Maruyama Aya, Michelle, and Chihaya Anon, and “GO OUR WAYS!”, featuring Tsurumaki Kokoro, Kirigaya Touko, ChuChu, and Wakana Rana. Fans are encouraged to participate by voting for their preferred song from four candidate tracks for each unit. With the decision to host the 7th Garupa Cup and the ongoing 5th Girls Band General Election, there’s always something exciting happening in Garupa!, so keep your eyes peeled!
