About Oshi no Ko
The anime `Oshi no Ko` is based on the popular manga serialized in “Weekly Young Jump,” which has sold over 20 million copies in total. Written by Akasaka Aka and illustrated by Yokoyari Mengo, the story begins with Goro, an obstetrician working in a rural city, being reincarnated as the child of his favorite idol, Ai. The narrative then delves into the mystery surrounding Ai’s sudden death, Aqua’s quest for revenge, and the hidden, often harsh realities of the entertainment industry.
The TV anime first aired its Season 1 in April 2023, followed by Season 2 in July 2024. Its groundbreaking premise set in the entertainment world and shocking plot developments took social media trends by storm, generating immense buzz. With Season 3 already confirmed to begin broadcasting in January 2026, anticipation for the next installment is incredibly high.
