Jujutsu Kaisen: Itadori and Gojou Gather at Shibuya FamilyMart! Special Wrapping Store Opens with Exclusive Merchandise
A thrilling collaboration project for the anime Jujutsu Kaisen is currently underway at FamilyMart stores nationwide. As the second phase of this exciting event, in anticipation of the November 7th release of Gekijouban Jujutsu Kaisen “Shibuya Jihen Tokubetsu Henshuuban” x “Shimesu Kaiyuu Senkou Jouei” (Theatrical Version Jujutsu Kaisen “Shibuya Incident Special Edited Version” x “Culling Game Advance Screening”), a special wrapping store is set to open in Shibuya, Tokyo, starting November 5th. This event also features exclusive acrylic stands and can badges, and the 5th-anniversary Ichiban Kuji for the anime has been available since October 31st.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy manga by Akutami Gege, chronicling the intense battles between Jujutsu Sorcerers and Curses, born from humanity’s negative emotions. The series began its serialization in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shounen Jump” in March 2018 and concluded its six-and-a-half-year run in September 2024. Including digital editions, the cumulative circulation of the comic series has surpassed an astonishing 100 million copies. Since September 2025, a short-term intensive serialization of a near-future spin-off titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, with original work by Akutami and art by Iwasaki Yuuji, has been ongoing.
The TV anime adaptation, based on this popular manga, first aired in 2020 on the Mainichi Broadcasting System/TBS network. The highly anticipated second season, Kaijuu Gyokusetsu/Shibuya Jihen, captivated audiences in 2023. Fans are already looking forward to the sequel, the third season Shimesu Kaiyuu Zenpen (Culling Game Part One), which is scheduled to begin broadcasting in January 2026. Prior to this, Kaijuu Gyokusetsu was screened as a theatrical compilation in May 2025, and from October 17th, the hugely successful Gekijouban Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which grossed 26.5 billion yen worldwide, returned to cinemas.
Leading up to the third season, the monumental Gekijouban Jujutsu Kaisen “Shibuya Jihen Tokubetsu Henshuuban” x “Shimesu Kaiyuu Senkou Jouei” is set to premiere on November 7th. This special theatrical event will be the first screening of a specially edited version of the Shibuya Jihen arc, which features the greatest battle in the series’ history, alongside the world premiere of the first two episodes of Shimesu Kaiyuu Zenpen. This chronological journey through the world of Jujutsu Kaisen in theaters is generating immense excitement among fans.
In celebration of this second phase of the FamilyMart collaboration, and to commemorate the upcoming Gekijouban Jujutsu Kaisen “Shibuya Jihen Tokubetsu Henshuuban” x “Shimesu Kaiyuu Senkou Jouei” release, the FamilyMart Shibuya Kouendori Store, located in Shibuya (the very setting of the Shibuya Jihen), will open as a special wrapping store starting November 5th. The store’s exterior will feature main characters who engaged in fierce battles in Shibuya, such as Itadori Yuuji and Gojou Satoru. Inside, a special space awaits, where fans can immerse themselves in the series’ world, with characters like Inumaki Toge depicted in certain areas.
Following the Ginza Kobikicho-dori Store, which is currently collaborating with Gekijouban Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and the Shibuya Kouendori Store, which will collaborate with the Shibuya Jihen event, a new special wrapping store is slated to open in December. Fans should definitely keep an eye out, as a special linked project involving all three stores is also planned!
As part of the second phase of the collaboration project, starting November 5th, limited edition acrylic stands and can badges featuring past visuals of the Shibuya Jihen arc, including popular characters like Itadori Yuuji and Gojou Satoru, will be exclusively available for purchase.
Furthermore, the “Ichiban Kuji Jujutsu Kaisen 5th anniversary” lottery, commemorating five years of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, has been available since October 31st. This lottery boasts an impressive lineup, including big acrylic stands, figures, and various other goods—definitely worth trying your luck for!
During the campaign period, FamilyMart’s multi-copy machine service, “Famima Print,” will also offer bromides featuring famous scenes from the Shibuya Jihen. From November 5th, 160 types will be re-released, and an additional 8 new designs will also become available, so be sure to check them out!
