About Kidou Senshi Gundam
For those unfamiliar, Kidou Senshi Gundam (which can be translated as Mobile Suit Gundam) is a foundational work in the real robot anime genre, first broadcast in 1979. It plunges viewers into the One Year War, an independence conflict waged by the Principality of Zeon against the Earth Federation. The story follows Amuro Rei, a young boy who inadvertently becomes the pilot of the Earth Federation Forces’ state-of-the-art mobile suit, the RX-78-2 Gundam.
