About Bungo Stray Dogs
For those unfamiliar, Bungo Stray Dogs is an enthralling supernatural battle action series where characters, named after real-life literary figures like Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, utilize their unique “abilities” in thrilling combat. The manga, based on Asagiri Kafka’s original story and illustrated by Harukawa 35, began serialization in “Young Ace” in 2012, and the cumulative sales of its related books have now surpassed an impressive 17 million copies.
The TV anime adaptation first aired its initial season in April 2016, and since then, it has captivated audiences through a total of five seasons and 61 episodes. To celebrate the TV anime’s tenth anniversary in April 2026, various exciting projects and new developments are planned from 2025 onwards, promising even more content for fans to look forward to.
