Haikyuu!! Characters Get Adorably Small in New “Nice Play ver.” Merchandise!
Characters like Hinata Shouyou and Kageyama Tobio from the anime Haikyuu!! are appearing in new “Nice Play ver.” goods where they’ve been turned into mini-chibi characters. These items will be sold at “Jump Festa 2026,” held on December 20th and 21st, 2025.

Haikyuu!! is a monumental sports manga by Furudate Haruichi that captivated audiences with its passionate drama of high school students devoted to volleyball. It was serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shounen Jump” for eight and a half years from February 2012, and the cumulative circulation of its comics has surpassed 70 million copies.
The TV anime series based on this原作 (original work) began in 2014, with up to its fourth season produced and aired by December 2020, drawing in not only原作 readers but also anime fans both in Japan and abroad with its狂热 (fever pitch) and感动 (moving moments).
The film Gekijouban Haikyuu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen (which can be translated as *Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle*), released in February 2024, depicted the showdown and heated drama between Karasuno High and their fated rival, Nekoma High. It was a massive hit, recording worldwide box office revenue exceeding 20 billion yen. It also won the Excellent Animation Award at the “Japan Academy Film Prize,” cementing its status as one of the most talked-about sports anime right now.
The eagerly awaited sequel, Gekijouban Haikyuu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin (*Haikyuu!! VS The Small Giant*), has been greenlit for production. Additionally, the production and TV broadcast of a special anime, Haikyuu!! Bakemono-tachi no Iku Tokoro, have been decided, meaning the hype is only accelerating!

Advance reservations for each item are being accepted on the mail-order site “THEキャラ” until 5:00 PM on December 21st. Purchases of 2,000 yen (including tax) or more will include a special bonus “Bromide” photo. Items are scheduled to be shipped sequentially from early to late March 2026 onwards.
