Production Leadership
Helming the anime at Studio Flad is director Hoshino Makoto, known for Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita. The series composition is handled by Shimizu Megumi of Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… fame. Character designs are a collaborative effort by Ookawa Mihoko (chief animation director for 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku) and Matsumoto Yoshie (prop design for Tomodachi Game).
Diving into the Source Material
This anime springs from the popular adventure fantasy light novel series penned by Atekichi with illustrations by Shigaraki. The story began serialization on the AlphaPolis website in August 2016, and its eighth volume hit shelves in October 2025.
For manga fans, there’s also an adaptation drawn by Takeda Atsushi that started on AlphaPolis in August 2017. The manga’s tenth volume was released in March 2025. English-speaking readers can catch the digital release on the Alpha Manga website and app, with the fourth volume available as of March 2025.
