Rakuten Panda Joins the Demon Slayer Corps? Collaboration Campaign Launches for ‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1’ Blu-ray/DVD Release

To celebrate the Blu-ray and DVD release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1: Akaza no Sairai, the Rakuten Group has launched a new collaboration campaign titled “[Demon Slayer × Rakuten Group] Blu-ray & DVD Release Commemoration! The Demon Slayer: Infinite Shopping Corps Returns!” The promotion offers fans a chance to win exclusive goods featuring a special collaboration illustration of the Rakuten mascot “Okaipanda” alongside characters from Demon Slayer.

About the Campaign

Running from June 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until August 31, 2026, at 9:59 a.m., the campaign involves multiple Rakuten services including Rakuten Books, Rakuten Mobile, Rakuten Fashion, Super Point Screen, Rakuten Kobo, and moflog. Participants who meet the conditions for each service will be entered into a lottery to win one of 1,850 original drawstring bags (kinchaku) adorned with the exclusive crossover art. The drawing is for one prize per person even if multiple service conditions are met, but meeting conditions for both Rakuten Books and another service triples the odds for the second service.

The campaign is a second installment following a similar collaboration last year that was well received by fans.

Demon Slayer Background

Demon Slayer is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, published by Shueisha under the Jump Comics label. The series spans 23 volumes and has surpassed 220 million copies in circulation. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is killed by demons and whose sister Nezuko is transformed into a demon, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a cure and avenge his family. The anime is produced by ufotable, beginning with the television series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in April 2019. The Infinity Castle Arc is being released as a film trilogy; the first chapter, Akaza no Sairai, opened on July 18, 2025, and over 266 days drew 27,455,968 viewers and grossed 40,200,190,000 yen through April 9, 2026, making it the second highest-grossing film in Japanese history after the previous Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. The Blu-ray and DVD are set for release on July 29, 2026.

Exclusive Bonuses and Goods

Rakuten Books offers several limited-time bonuses for those who pre-order or purchase the Blu-ray or DVD. These include an “Umbrella Marker 4-Piece Set” for eligible Rakuten Mobile subscribers, “Scene Card Karuta” (playing cards featuring scenes), an “Infinite Calendar” (acrylic perpetual calendar), and an exclusive delivery box. Additionally, there is a “Mini Corps Members Come to Rakuten! Greeting Photo Session” event scheduled for August 29, 2026. Customers who buy applicable items can apply to attend the photo session with a chosen mini Corps member; attendees will receive a limited-edition acrylic keychain not available elsewhere. Applications close on August 2, 2026.

Beyond the campaign, Rakuten Books is also selling collaboration exclusive goods (not part of the lottery) including acrylic stands, can badges, nap sacks, sauna bags, sticker and clear card sets, and coasters—10 items in total featuring the special illustration.
