Summer 2026 Anime Youjo Senki II Premieres July 8 – MYTH & ROID Returns for OP Theme

The upcoming second season of the military fantasy anime Youjo Senki II will begin airing on July 8, 2026, it has been announced. The series will also stream on ABEMA and d Anime Store ahead of the terrestrial broadcast.

The original Youjo Senki light novel series by Carlo Zen has sold over 12 million copies in cumulative circulation. It follows a rationalist elite salaryman reborn into another world as a blonde, blue-eyed young girl named Tanya Degurechaff (voiced by Aoi Yuki). Despite her cute appearance, she rises to become a feared elite mage officer known as the Devil of the Battlefield. The series gained popularity for its realistic aerial combat scenes within an isekai framework. The first TV season aired in 2017, and a film was released in 2019.

Accompanying the news is a new key visual—the second visual—depicting a giant Tanya conducting in the center, flanked by the two leaders of the Imperial Army, Zettour and Rudersdorf. The three figures leading the army will face the future of the Empire in the second season, building anticipation.

Additionally, the theme songs have been revealed. Returning from the first season, MYTH & ROID will perform the opening theme, while Tanya (voiced by Aoi Yuki) will sing the ending theme. The opening theme is titled “Why? RED induction” by MYTH & ROID. The ending theme, “Weiter! Weiter!” by Tanya Degurechaff (CV: Aoi Yuki), is sound-produced by Masayuki Nakano (THE SPELLBOUND / BOOM BOOM SATELLITES). Details on the music releases will be announced later.

Furthermore, the mini-anime Youjo Shenki 2 will also air and stream, following the first season. It covers sidelined stories such as the Salamander Combat Group struggling with new recruits and Tanya dealing with various issues before winter. Fans can enjoy it alongside the main series.

TV Anime Youjo Senki II premieres on July 8, 2026 (Wednesday). ABEMA and d Anime Store will offer the fastest streaming ahead of the broadcast.
