The official website for the Sword Art Online anime series has announced the main staff, official title, teaser visual, and a teaser trailer for the previously announced original anime movie. The film is titled Integral Domaine and is scheduled to open in theaters in 2028.
Voice actors Matsuoka Yoshitsugu and Tomatsu Haruka will reprise their roles as Kazuto Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki, respectively.

The first two anime seasons aired in Summer 2012 and Summer 2014. The Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale movie, featuring an original story by creator Kawahara Reki, premiered in Japan in February 2017.
The Alicization arc aired its first 24 episodes in Fall 2018, followed by a split-cour second season in Fall 2019 and Summer 2020.
Sword Art Online adapts Kawahara’s adventure sci-fi light novel, which has been published through the Dengeki Bunko imprint since 2009 with illustrations by abec. Kadokawa shipped the 29th volume on April 10. Yen Press licensed the light novel in English and released the 28th volume in July 2025.
